 + 0 moreAfter a freind recommended Shannon I had him over to look at my work. Besides his confidence, the fact that he said that he never left a clients house dirtier than when he got there influenced my decision to hire him. I don't expect perfection but his workmanship was terrible, he was to skim coat a portion of my sanded ceiling and left 2 areas about 10" in diameter to where I'm going to have to do them over. Besides this there is an area he didn't even sand, after 3 visits! In one spot he sanded down to the tape and overall there were over 15 flaws in his workmanship that will need attention before paint. Most disappointing was the lack of clean up. I have dust throughout my house and inside of cabinets he didn't cover. He carelessly damaged a freshly glazed bathroom wall and apparently wasn't going to say anything. When I mentioned it to him he became belligerent about the quality of the glaze work. This carried over to our next text conversation in which I fired him for being an a--hole and poor at his trade. As a result of this I would recommend not hiring Shannon McCarthy. If you would like to see pictures of my claim text me.

 + -1 moreHe provided a detailed bid and quickly went about correcting the plumbing, installed new tub, and painted the upstairs bathroom. He was responsive and completed the job on time. After he completed the job, we found several areas where paint was dripped on the tub or where missed on the wall, but overall it was a good experience.
Description of Work: Initially Shannon was hired to fix an upstairs bathroom that was out of service.

Description of Work: Shannon finished our basement, putting in a great room, full bath, and study. It turned out exactly as we wanted and it looks beautiful. He also remodeled a hall bathroom after doing a complete teardown. Again, it looks beautiful! He was very professional, his bids did not change as the job progressed, and he gave us some very helpful suggestions that we would never have thought of on our own. We found his prices to be extremely reasonable. We would use him again if the need would arise and recommend him to others.
