Do not believe the 100% 30-day Satisfactory Guarantee stated on Jeff Computer's website. After paying a $150 diagnostic fee upon drop off, I was then contacted that I would need to pay an additional $150 service fee. Initially, I was told it was take 2-3 days to fix, but it actually took 2 weeks. One week and 2 weeks after being "fixed", I began to experience the same issue with my touchpad and then the touchpad stopped working all together. I brought it back in and was told it was actually the touchpad hardwire that was broken, not what they had previously fixed. They told me I would need to pay an additional $80 for the touchpad part. Upon doing my own research, I found out the part actually cost no more than $30, $45 with shipping. After speaking on the phone with Ricky, I stated I shouldn't have to pay for anymore services, as my original $150 service fee was not fulfilled. Ricky refused to use the $150 that I had originally paid to fix my touchpad, even though the problem never really was fixed. The website states "100%, 30-day satisfactory guarantee," but after 1 week and 2 days my computer touchpad was broken again. Ricky then told me he was not going to put up with me and refused to do any further service on my computer and told me to pick up my computer. Basically, I paid a total of $300 for my computer to be worse.

Jeff was amazing, I needed a cheap used server, which he was able to provide at a reasonable cost. He was very friendly and professional. Would definitely buy a computer from him in the future. He also mentioned a monthly maintenance plan which I did not need at the time, however, it seemed like a really good deal for the cost.

After repeated failed attempts to fix our hard drive over ~2 months, Jeff told us he was going to send the hard drive to SecureData. I looked up their reviews, talked to them, and then decided to let Jeff send the hard drive for me since he said he was a partner with them and could get discounts. He did mention that he might look at other labs but then it never came up again. After some time, he called me to say that they could fix the hard drive but that it was going to be an additional cost. I asked him to confirm that the hard drive was at SecureData before agreeing to the additional cost. I asked because I wanted to make sure he didn't switch the lab without telling me. He mentioned he was checking the ticket and then confirmed it was at SecureData so I agreed to proceed with the higher price. After time, I decided to call SecureData to see what the status of my drive was. SecureData informed me that: (1) My hard drive was not sent to SecureData. They could tell this from the tracking number Jeff gave me. (2) Jeff Computers is not a partner of SecureData. They were a partner at some point but the relationship was terminated by SecureData. They said they had gotten complaints from people that Jeff Computers claimed to send drives there but then did not. I confronted Jeff about this apparent lie twice - once by email after I found out and once verbally when I picked up the drive. He did not respond to my email except to tell me that the drive was ready. When I confronted him verbally, his justification was that it was up to him where he sent my drive and that they don't give out information about the labs they send drives to. He mentioned that SecureData should not have given me the information that it did. He indicated that it would have cost me more money to send it to SecureData and was unapologetic about the deception. The recovery ended up taking 3 months from the time we dropped it off and there was poor communication throughout. However, my main complaint is that I was deceived

Waited several days and no work was done. Called several times for status and left messages. Calls never returned. Finally told them to forget it, I'd pick it up. $100+ dollars down the drain / no work performed / no refund offered. I see they post polite responses to complaints here on Angie's List for the public to see, but when it's just you and them (young man and obnoxious older woman) standing there in their offices, they're unimaginably rude and unprofessional. Embarrassing that a business like this exists in Manchester. Avoid at all costs.

Initial expense of $80 to analyze the reported problems. Another $80 to fix the problems, which where not fixed when the computer was returned. When I complained, they said to return the computer. I did not return the computer because I did not trust them to fix the problem and I knew there would only be additional expenses.

This business is every bit as shady and dishonest as their internet reviews claim. I dropped off the laptop in mid-October and they never did the work or called to give me a status update. Over the course of a month, I called every weekend to check-in and got the same story - 'waiting on parts, should be done in a few days'.
Finally, after a month of this, I told them I would pick up the laptop even though the repairs were not completed. My wife stopped by while out running errands and they refused to giver her the laptop. Jeff berated her and told her to 'call the cops' if she wanted', so she did. Police were on the scene for over an hour and Jeff finally released the laptop. I had to call Amex to dispute the $100 up front service fee they charged me.
These guys are not trustworthy. Take your business somewhere else.

On October 24th, I took my external hard drive in for data recovery. I paid the $80 diagnostic fee and was told that it may take a couple of weeks. After a month without any updates from Jeff Computers, I called to check on the status. I was told: " They are still working on it. It doesn't look good. They've got one more test to run." I waited more than another month and returned to the store in person on December 27th. I asked for the status and was told " They are still working on it. It doesn't look good. They've got one more test to run." Since I got the exact same answer over a month earlier, I decided to test them. I asked how long it would take to run the 1 remaining test. They were not sure. I asked if it was going to be a day or two, or was it going to be a week or two. They did not know if it would be a day or two, but should not take weeks to figure out. Then I pulled the plug and informed them that they gave me the exact same answer over a month ago. I informed them I wanted my hard drive back. Well, it would take time to put it back together. I informed them I would return the next day (December 28th) and would expect my hard drive to be returned to me at that time. I picked up the hard drive today and it's barely pieced together (casing falling apart without only one screw holding it together).
This service was absolutely unacceptable. They had the hard drive for over two months and NOT ONCE did they ever call me. I will NEVER return to the company and will certainly recommend to anyone I know who is looking for computer service to pick a different company.

Tried to repair a laptop, but the cost was more then a new laptop of the same quality. And the laptop still runs slow. Never called with updates after two weeks. I had to follow up for any updates.

I was quoted $80 to fix itunes and they would look at the hinge. It was to take a few days. Aftter a week I called to check and it was not finished. A few days later they called and I went to pick it up. Jeff (the owner) waited on me. He said everything is fixed, itunes works and they even fixed the hinge but he needed to check something and booted the system up (without plugging in the power supply). I could not see the screen as he booted it up but he then says the battery needed to be charged. ( I am now convinced the battery died while Jeff was booting the laptop up and this is where the problem started!) So far I think everything is good.
When I get home, I plugged the power supply in to charge the battery. Later when I went to boot it up I got an error message that the system ini files were corrupt and it would not boot. I called Jeff and was told to bring it back in and they would fix it. When I brought it back in I was told it would be a few days again. A week later they called and said it was ready. I was told it was repaired, they had to reload Windows but they had saved all of the files. I was also told it would be another $80 to fix the computer. I was not happy there was an additional charge and after arguing my point I asked to speak with Jeff. Jeff said this happens all the time with Windows and that was how it is. I then asked how late they were open and sent my daughter down to pick it up. When she gets there they tell her it is not ready to be picked up? Anyway, two days later they call and I go pick it up. When I get home I find it boots up but all the drivers were not loaded and one of them was the wireless driver so I could not even connect to the internet to download the drivers. After spending a evening loading the missing drivers and setting the internet connection back up it appears that everything is fixed. I have used Jeff Computers before this and had no problems but this time was not a good experience!

Took the old computer in to see if they could recover and transfer the files. They said that if I would leave it, they would check and see what could be done. They called two or three days later and said they would be able to do it and gave a price and date for pick-up (about a week later). The work was done and all went as expected.

Jeff Computers showed us new computers and took their time with us (as we are older). we believe we received great value for the money. They transferred data from our old computer, after cleaning off any virusess and Trojans. We also had them come out and hookup the computer and printer. The tech was very friendly and explained any questions we had. We also purchased a 3 year warranty package, which was included in the total price we listed; but we were not talked into buying it. We did and will continue to recommend them to those we know.

They were responsible enough to remove the disk drive to protect my data and knowledgeable enough to know that it would not impact HP's ability or willingness to fix the problem. They also gave us a quote for the repair that was right on - showing they knew HP's policies. I would recommend these folks to anyone needing help with their PC or network in a heartbeat.
