Frank & Associates Remodeling

Originally, our experience with Frank Vandeventer was great!  He was pleasant to talk to, got back with us quickly about our concerns, and the installation crew was friendly and tidy.
Unfortunately, about 2 weeks before Christmas, we received a notice that a lien was being placed on our house by Dealer's Service and Supply Company Inc.* of Kirkwood, MO.  It seemed that Frank hadn't been paying for roofing supplies in a timely manner.  Many thousands of dollars later in attorney fees has added up to a bad deal on the roof.  Frank Vandeventer filed bankruptcy for his original company and started a new company, called St. Louis Roofing and Siding.  This left us, and the 16 other families who had gotten liens, without a means to recover funds on a bankrupt company.
Dealing with Frank since then has been sketchy at best, and he has offered no help for us or the other home owners.  So the follow-up customer service gets an "F" also.  Since Frank and Associates Remodeling is a now non-existent company, hopefully consumers will dig a little deeper with their research.  Angie's List is now the best place to go, BBB cannot be trusted to give an accurate rating.  Last I checked, BBB had an A+ rating for Frank Vandeventer.  NO.
*We are currently defending ourselves in Missouri court systems against Bob Vatterott of Dealer's Service and Supply Company in Kirkwood, MO.  I look forward to giving my detailed review of THAT company when all is said and done, but in the meantime I would urge consumers to run a search in Missouri's court records (MO case.net), and then form their own conclusion if they should do business with Bob Vatterott, owner of Dealer's Service and Supply Company Inc.

Horrible.  I have a Missouri Mechanics lien on my residence because this guy didn't pay his supplier.

Frank was very responsive from my initial inquiry for bid through the completion of the job. He scheduled the job three days after accepting the bid. His crew arrived before 7 am on the day that had been scheduled and completed the roof tear off and install by 4 pm that evening. Frank's roofing crew did a first rate job on the tear off and installation of the roof and their cleanup of our property was outstanding.
