The OEM tires on my 2010 Hyundai Sante Fe (Kumho Solus 21) provided a nice, smooth, quiet ride but very little traction in wet or otherwise bad road conditions. I was looking forward to replacing them and did a lot of research to find the best tires at the best price. I did not even consider Firestone tires until I stopped at Ellisville Firestone. I only stopped there because they are the closest tire dealers to my home. The manager asked me what I was looking for in terms of price and performance, listened to my response, recommended Firestone Destination LE2's, and quoted a price for a complete installation package. He also showed me the tires and explained why he was recommending them. He was very professional and knowledgeabIe. I took the written quote that he provided and researched the tires. They are highly rated in terms of value, performance, and overall customer satisfaction. I also found that these tires incorporate a lot of the latest tire manufacturing technology that some other manufacturers (including some very popular and more expensive brands) have not. The specific technologies that I am talking about make them safer, quieter, and provide more traction in bad conditions. I tried to beat his price everywhere that I could think of. My auto dealer, five local tire dealers, and three of the internet tire suppliers. Ellisville Firestone was better or equal in price after factoring in taxes, shipping (for the internet suppliers), and complete installation. We scheduled an installation time and date. The purchase and installation was on time, quick, professional, and at the quoted price. It included a four wheel alignment and TPMS setup. Since the installation in October of 2013, I have driven the front wheel drive only Sante Fe 3,000 miles through some of the worst winter weather that St. Louis has had in decades. Ice and snow in the county and unplowed streets in the city. The tires have been great. A couple of little tire slips where the tires instantly regained traction as soon as I backed off the gas pedal. They are very quiet and seem to be wearing well. Recently, I took the car into my dealer who checked the alignment. Alignment was perfect, so, Ellisville Firestone did a great job there also.
I am 100 % satisfied with Ellisville Firestone. They were straightforward, focused on my needs, honest, very competitively priced, did good work on my car, and did everything that they said they would do.

I have been going to Firestone for over 10 years at this location. Recently the work has been less than satisfactory. I had the oil changed on my 2011 Kia Soul and the mechanic forgot to replace the gasket on the oil plug. My wife notified me that there was oil on our garage where my car was parked. I took the car back up to Firestone, received an apology, and the problem was fixed. Later I brought the same vehicle for the MO Safety Emissions test. The vehicle passed, but the mechanic sent in the wrong license plate number into the state. When I tried to purchase my plates on-line, I was told there was no record of an emissions test. When I looked over my statement, I saw the mistake. But this mistake meant having to get the test done over again. So once again I spent a half hour waiting for work to be done correctly. I received another apology, but thought that after 10 years of being a valued customer, some type of recompense might also be forthcoming. I was wrong. My last experience with Firestone involved a quote I received on A/C work. There estimate was for $950. But in doing some research, I found that the parts could be purchased at a greatly reduced price from other establishments. By shopping around, I was able to get the work done for a savings of $200. I would encourage everyone to do their research and not spend more money than necessary.

We love them and they are very good. Their crew is very good and they know us very well. My son has a car, my daughter has a car, and we have a couple of cars. They have taken care of all of our cars since we have lived here for 10 years. They are very friendly and we have a good time with them. I feel like they are very truthful and they don't repair stuff that doesn't need repaired. They kind of let us know what we will need like saying we will need brakes at our next oil change.

Today is Tuesday September 27, 2011. I have driven the truck about 5 miles to my house from the Ellisville Firestone Store and parked it. I drive it almost exclusively for towing. This afternoon I cut the boot open to see just how much damage was done from driving on a and ldquo;dry jointand rdquo;. I found that the joint was far from dry. It was and ldquo;packed with greaseand rdquo; and appeared to be perfect inside. I then took my truck to Bommerito GMC Ellisville, MO, Dave Widdicome was my service advisor. He had the supposed and ldquo;dry jointand rdquo;, axel inspected, and there was nothing wrong with it. I told Bommerito to put a new boot on the truck and give me back the new axel that firestone had sold me under a total misrepresentation. I then went to Tim at Ellisville firestone to talk to him and the store manager; he said he was the manager. I told him I was bringing the part back and that I wanted my $1,164.79 refunded. He said that there was nothing he could do and that he said he only recommended the axel be replaced and that they had done nothing wrong. I told him that I would normally only take my truck to Bommerito but he seemed like a nice honest person. Obviously, that was a mistake on my part. After leaving Tim at Ellisville Firestone, I called him and asked for the name of the manager of the Ellisville Firestone. Tim again state that he was manager when the manager was not there. He refused to give me the manager's name. I then asked Tim for the district Firestone manager's name. Tim refused to give me his name also. I called the Kirkwood Firestone Store and they were very happy to provide me with the district manager's name and asked if they had done something wrong. I told them that I had a problem with the Ellisville store, not them. He said Ellisville is not a Firestone company store. It is an independently owned store and he was not sure what the district manager could do. I then called back and asked Tim for the owner of the Ellisville Stores name. He said it was a company store. Again, Tim misrepresented the situation. I told Tim he was misrepresenting things again. That I knew it was not a Firestone company store. He then admitted that a private corporation owned the store. I asked Tim for the name and number of the corporation. He said he would not give out the corporation's information. I told him I would get it off the companies business license at the city hall. I informed him that my son was an attorney and we be filing civil action if they did not admit their misrepresentation and refund my money for the part and labor in total. We have contested the charges with Chase Visa. I will tell Tim tomorrow when he issued a credit to my Visa or refunded cash, I would deliver the axel that he sold me under false pretenses and I did not need. I am also checking to see if what he told me about the tires was correct and if the age of the tires he sold me matches the invoice/bill. 9/28/2011 Ralph Johnson, the true manager of this and ldquo;Firestone Tire Storeand rdquo; called and agreed to credit my account for all axel charges less what Bommerito would charge to replace boot. He said that he would credit the cost of the axel, etc. less what Bommerito would have charged to fix the boot. In addition, I would have a new axle. I objected saying he owed me the whole $1,164.79. He told me that he was only authorized to refund me $750. Considering the time involved in a further dispute, I begrudgingly agreed to a $750 refund. 9/30/2011 Ralph calledand hellip;.told him I was very busy this week would get to him 10/1/2011 10/6/2011 - A Credit was issued by Ralph on Visa for $750.00 11/4/2011 - I slowly drove off my gravel driveway into our hay field (more like our extended lawn) with Rick R look for posts. I was going maybe 5 mph. I turned the selector form 2 wheel high to 4 wheel high. There was a terrible clunking and gridding noise. I call AAA to have the truck towed to Bommerito GMC in Ellisville. The AAA man said the axel is broken. I took pictures at that time. Bommerito discovered that it actually did not break it came apart at the inner Constant Velocity Joint boot. Apparently, the only thing that holds the axel together is the rubber boot secured with a metal strap. I followed the tow truck to Bommerito and check in with Joe the service writer at 636-594-1938. At that time I decided to have the original axle put back on with a new boot. Firestone had installed the boot on 9/24/2011. The truck had 70,535 miles on it. When it failed on 11/4/2011, the mileage was 71,033 miles. Thus, it failed exactly 502 miles after installation. Of that 502 146 miles was towing our 14000# 5th wheel travel trailer to Shelbyville Illinois. 11/7/2011 and ndash; 8AM Over the weekend I thought if Firestone did indeed install a GMC factory part should it not be under warrantee? I drove to Bommerito arriving at 8AM and talked to Joe. He said he would need a copy of the receipt from Firestone showing installation of the axle and a copy of the invoice from Jim Butler Chevrolet in South St. Louis County showing it was a new factory part. I asked him if the axel that Firestone installed on 9/24/2011 was actually a factory axel and if it was under warrantee. He said that even if he had the receipts that there was no way to tell if it was a new factory part. That even if the parts numbers were GMC part numbers there was no way to know. It could be a remanufactured axle using used GMC parts. Thus, there was no way, unless a GMC dealer installed the axel, to know if it was what it was what Ellisville Firestone represented it to be. 117/2011 and ndash; 9AM I called Ralph Johnson the manager of Ellisville Firestone. I asked for a copy of the receipt from Jim Butler Chevrolet for the alleged new axle he purchase there and installed on my truck. He said he no longer had it. I said that was funny since the IRS requires he keep those records for 7 yrs. Then he said that corporate headquarters, not Firestone headquarters since they are not a Firestone company store, but his company's headquarters office might have it. I then asked if he could not get a copy from Jim Butler. He said he would try. 9:37AM I called Joe and told him I understood that what he said was logical and to put the ordinal axel back on the truck with a new boot. November 7, 2011 12:00 Noon and ndash; I received a call from Joe and Bommerito. He said that they found out why the axle came apart. The two nuts that hold the right front axle tube to the frame were missing. Firestone either did not put the nuts back on the studs or they the nets were started on the studs and never properly tightened. They took pictures of the problem and asked if I wanted to come and take my own. I went to Bommerito and took pictures of the problem and the mechanic crawled under the truck and took some more for me. Bommerito replace the original axle with a new boot for a total cost of $196.96 As of today, 11/7/2011 this is what Ellisville Firestone still owes me. 11/7/2011 Firestone Ellisville Location Details of charges axle $ 852.74 Sales Tax in Ellisville 7.675% $ 65.45 delivery $ 20.00 replace and remove $ 201.60 Shop Supplies $ 25.00 Total Firestone charges for axel $ 1,164.79 Less credit applied to Visa on 10/6/2011 $ 750.00 Credit still owed Dr. Bendick $ 414.79 8/10/2011 Manager Ralph never returned my call.

I have been going to them for five years. I consider them to be reasonably honest. Their prices are decent too. I had utilized a coupon the last time I had gone there. They are thorough and always looking to replace things on our behalf.

They have saved my car. Everyone in the office and the technicians are honest and caring. It is an excellent place to take your car. They do really good work. Six years ago my car was almost dead. The dealer didn't have time to look at my car so I called Firestone. Now I would never go anywhere else. They will give you a ride home or pick you up if you need it. The whole business is first class. They are extremely reasonable. They are always up front with you. They show you the part when they take it out and tell you if you can get it rebuilt and everything you need to know. They keep excellent records. When I sold my car they gave me a print out of everything that had ever been done by them on my car.

I mentioned to a friend that I was looking to buy a used car...he suggested that I have Shobby at the Firestone take a look at it so I called the Firestone...Shobby even answered the phone...he encouraged me to have the seller bring the car by and they would inspect it for me...never got the sense that he was trying to get one over on me...he was very free with information - 'this is what is good, this is what is bad' type thing...I asked his opinion about price and he told me it was a great deal...he told me what to be careful of...I bought the car and he did some work on it; all things that we'd agreed to do. earlier...we replaced the tires and the front brakes, fixed the antenna, and changed the oil and lubed it...great job overall, he even introduced me to his guy doing the work (Lulu - great guy)...I couldn't be happier with the whole experience.
