Ben and Richard performed the work in a timely and professional manner. They left no mess behind. The price below includes stump removal. They used a commercial chipper/shredder to dispose of the tree.

Work was done to satisfaction, but scheduling and completion of work was like pulling teeth. I don't think Chris had a good handle on scheduling or had equipment lined up to complete work and it required multiple visits and numerous calls from me to get work completed.

It was a good impression.  He was helpful and knowledgeable though it took him awhile to get back to me after he said he will come back to me.

I was impressed because Chris came out for an estimate, then brought his workers out to show them what he wanted them to do.  After the workers were finished, Chris came back out to inspect the work and make sure I was satisfied.  They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves.  From estimate to completion everything was done within a week.

Chris was prompt, offered a fair price, and was very thorough.  I was pleased with the work and would recommend using this company.  I appreciated their fast turn around time between the quote and when they could perform the work.

I contacted Chris Neal of Ballwin Tree Service and he came out two days later to look at the two trees that I wanted cut down.  He phoned me with a quote as I was working when he came out.  He made another trip by when I was at home to make sure of the correct two trees to be cut down and said that the quote would include cutting down the two trees and removing the stumps.  He promised to removed the tress and stumps in the next two days and he did so.  His quote was very reasonable, he responded quickly, he also gave me some suggestions in regard to two other tress that I had a concern about how to determine whether to keep them or have them cut down.  He advised me to wait another year and suggested how to check out the leaves to determine the status of the trees.  He was very courteous and conscientious.  I would definitely recommend Chris and I would have him do other work for me again.

There were intermittent rain showers that caused them to have to stop for a few minutes periodically. They communicated with me throughout to insure it was done to my satisfaction.  And it was.  They did leave the hole where the large stump was ground out and didn't fill it in with the chips, but in all fairness, it had started to rain again and I think it was just an oversite due to having to get out of the rain. I easily filled it in later.

Chris provided a timely estimate that was very competitive and fair price for removing two trees and major trimming of over 10 very large trees. Along with brush removal and trimming of several smaller trees. I accepted his written estimate and he provided me with a copy of his liability coverage. We scheduled the work to be done later in the week. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day we were scheduled to do the work. He came back the next day (a Saturday). On-time and ready to work. His "climber" was the best I have ever seen. Both Chris and the climber provided valuable suggestions as to how best shape the trees which had not been tended to for several years. I had to leave before all the cleanup was completed. Chris assured me that the cleanup would be done right. And I was not disappointed. I would recommend Ballwin Tree Service and will certainly use Chris again.

I remembered seeing the County Stump Removal truck driving down South Grand months prior. For some reason, I remembered the name. Looked them up on the internet and called. This was on a Friday. Chris [the Owner] answered on the 2nd ring. I shared my plight, Chris happened to be in the neighborhood at the nearby Home Depot and offered to drive by and see the stump. He was there in about 20 minutes. He gave me a very doable price and offered to come back that following Monday and do the job. I agreed. I felt convinced enough of their expertise that I decided to go ahead to work that day. Normally, I would stay home when work is being done at the house; i didn't feel the need to. Chris and his assistant performed the job beautifully. They removed a portion of the fence to get their grinder in the back yard and then replaced it. I requested that they spread the wood chips in the area rather than take them away. They agreed and performed this request without hesitation. When I returned home from work later that day, the stump was gone, fence replaced and chips spread as i requested. All at a reasonable price. City dwellers, don't let the company name fool you! These guys do a lot of work in the city. They're reasonable and professional. I would highly recommend.
