If you are bringing something in for repair make sure that the repairman will have the time if you need it quickly.  They do have a lot of volume at times so you want to make sure of when they can get your job completed.

I have four Baby Lock Protege sergers and I need someone I can depend on and trust to handle maintenance and repairs.  Steve Connelly was that someone for years when he serviced machines at JoAnn's fabric store in Ballwin, but when I called in 2009 I was told JoAnn's no longer offered repair service.  After unsuccessfully attempting to locate Steve, I looked for another repair service but had the same experiences told by other Angies List members (although this was before I joined the list).  When I learned that JoAnn's was selling sewing machines at their Ballwin store again, I called to ask if service would be available and was thrilled to learn that Steve Connelly was back!  We took three sergers over immediately (this was on a Monday - he picks up and delivers machines on Tuesdays at Ballwin).  When he called later that week to give me an estimate, I finally got an explanation.  There was only a short period when Steve wasn't handling repairs for the JoAnn's Ballwin store and unluckily that's when I called.  But more importantly, he mentioned that he still handles service for the other JoAnn's stores in the area - including the Affton location (already listed with an excellent rating) and St.Peters...another location in South County will be available soon.

Steve always calls to give an estimate for repairs, and the costs are reasonable - if delivery is delayed, he calls about that too.  More importantly, he fixes the machines right!
