I called A and M this morning and left a message to see if there was any possibility of getting my snow blower serviced in anticipation of a big snow storm this coming Saturday night / Sunday morning. A and M called back and offered to service it today if I brought it in to the shop. I mentioned that I had no way to bring it in, I needed it picked up. A and M said they'd do some checking and get back to me. They called back a little later and said they could pick it up around noon. They did so. They repaired it and delivered it to me at about 6:00PM. I'm grateful and impressed.
I was told they would evaluate the machine and see if it was able to be serviced, or whether it was too far gone.
The evaluation charge was clearly posted, and I was also verbally told about the charge. If the machine was too far gone, I'd just have the evaluation charge to pay. If it was worth fixing, they would fix it.
Ultimately, it was in fairly good condition. I was called and said it was serviced and ready to be picked up.
