Exceptional Electric

Exceptional Electric was identified as a preferred installer on Tesla's web site. This job was complicated by the fact that the identified location for the Charger in the garage was located on the opposite end of the house from the Fuze Box in the basement for the dedicated line and circuit breaker. Phil showed up on time, did an exceptional job in identifying a practical solution and accomplishing the work in one day. I was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. I highly recommend this company.

They arrived quickly and assessed the situation. Unfortunately I needed a new breaker box. They were able to make a temporary fix until they could coordinate with Ameren. They handled everything in the most professional way. Definitely would use again.

After vetting a half dozen electrical contractors, I employed Exceptional Electric for my master bath remodel and some additional electrical work while on site. Rich, the owner, reviewed the scope of my project, made recommendations and expertly explained the process of completing each task and provided a fair price. On the scheduled start date, Rich accompanied Greg, the electrician to perform the work, and we jointly discussed the details of the project, the sequencing of tasks and my expectations. They were extremely knowledgeable, courteous and receptive to my input. Greg went on to perform his work with dispatch, pride, and exceptionalism. He, without a doubt, has been the finest contractor I have ever had the pleasure of working in my home. I would be amiss if I didn't compliment Monika, the secretary and scheduler, for her efficiency, friendliness and accommodating nature. Exceptional Electric lived up to its name and posted reviews. I would utilize them for future electrical work and I highly recommend them to others who value technical competency and friendly and respectful customer service.

Phil did all the work for this replacement. It was a time-consuming project, and we had a lot of breakers in the panel. Phil performed the work diligently, well, and with a very friendly attitude. It took him longer than anticipated because of all the breakers. He cleaned up well before he left around 5:45 (after arriving at 8 am) and had another job to go to from our house. Nonetheless, he was in good spirits about the work.

Greg and Lonnie arrived on time, were friendly and respectful, and worked diligently to complete the work as quickly as possible. Installation was professional and clean. Greg was able to provide a discount due to the installation being a bit easier than planned, so the cost was under my budgeted amount. I installed the pendant lights and they look and work great. I would definitely hire Exceptional Electric again.

Very very Good

I found Exceptional Electric through Angie's list, and found the process of scheduling a bid super easy. Rich, the owner, came by the house and was prompt. He listened to understand the scope of the project, documented the requirements, and took pictures of the areas where work was to be performed. There were a couple of items on my list that Rich said I could easily correct myself, which I felt comfortable doing, and told me he'd be happy to do it but I'd save myself a little bit of extra money by fixing the issue myself, and he was right. He was honest in his assessment of the work I was asking to do, and I felt my best interests were top of mind. I was sent a bid in a timely manner, and any questions or amendments I had were quickly addressed. On the day the work was scheduled, Rich came with his electrician, Greg. You can tell that Rich and Greg reviewed the game plan ahead of arriving at the house as it was clear Greg had reviewed the pictures ahead of time. You can see that Greg had already been thinking through a game plan, and before any work was done, Rich and Greg wanted to ensure that they understood my asks and that we all were on the same page. Greg got to work and was exceptional. We really enjoyed having Greg here at the house, and he treated our home as if it were his own. Greg cleaned up after everything, and the quality of work was top notch. While this was during Covid, Greg wore his mask the entire time. I'd highly recommend Exceptional Electric. Their prices are fair, and the quality of work was very good. Greg had to make multiple cuts into our drywall and everything was reinstalled flush such that re-taping and mudding won't be a problem at all. A+ I submitted some pictures of the work, notably the install of the additional recessed lighting and under cabinet lighting. I also wanted to show the drywall work and how much care was taken to ensure we can have it repaired with ease. Not pictured is the work we had done in the garage but those were just outlet installs though that was no small task as a lot of work was done there.

They arrived early. We figured out that we needed the LED bulbs, so they happily went to get them. By the time they got back, they were on-time for the original appointment. (Impressive!) They converted the fluorescent fixture while allowing my husband to watch and ask questions. And they had to troubleshoot the backyard light fixture (old house not quite fitting the bracket of the new fixture). But they were still done in 45 minutes!!! And for that I am thankful, because my high schoolers had virtual school that morning.

The job was estimated correctly and performed quickly and professionally. To help with the estimate I sent photos of my existing electric panel as well as measurements of the cable run inside the house and the garage. No surprises. They were able to use an existing 50 amp circuit previously used for a hot tub (now gone).

The work was quick, clean, and accurate! Our electrician, Greg was very friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions as well as my 3 and 5 year olds questions.

Fantastic! We originally called to have someone come out to give us an estimate on restoring power to two rooms that lost power after a lightning strike in our yard. Lyle came out. After stating the upfront $125 diagnostic fee, he checked the house's electric panel for power and then starting checking receptacles. He quickly diagnosed a lose wire, tightened it, and power was restored!!! So thankful! Then we asked him to give us quotes on a few electrical problems that we had. He quickly diagnosed and fixed what he could, and he gave us a quote for the rest. My husband & I were so impressed and very thankful!

It was awesome. FYI, I am absolutely not a paid rater or affiliated with Exceptional Electric. And I honestly never rate anything, but this was hands down the best experience I have ever had with a contract. They sent out Phil, dude was super nice, on time (to the minute), took the time to answer my question and explain anything I didn't understand. There were a couple problems with my wiring that required additional work (and cost), but had to be done. Phil asked me before he did anything extra and even made a couple suggestions about what I asked that saved me some money. I don't know if all of Exceptional Electric's contractors are as professional and awesome ('causr I've only met the one), but if they are wouldn't go anywhere else. Infact I have a court more things that need to be done that I was planning on doing myself, but after that job I'm just gonna have Exceptional Electric do them!

It was fine. They did a good job. They were professional, courteous, and on time. I had them do several jobs for me before.

It went really well. They were able to send someone out right away even though it wasn't an emergency. And they are pretty good at sticking with their schedule - the timing was really good. They did an excellent job taking care of the problem and getting everything working again, in a safe and efficient manner. I was positively impressed and would hire them again for any other electrical work.

I needed an electrician to install a ceiling fan. I put in a request on Home Adviser and Exceptional Electric called me with in 5 min's and we scheduled an install appointment for the following morning! They called me when the Electrician was headed my way and he arrived right on the scheduled time. He looked at the job and gave my a very reasonable quote. He then did the job which turned out great. I couldn't be more pleased with the the company and will definitely use them for any future electrical needs.
