Camdup Racing

We were told the car they sold us for our son was safe, reliable and had passed Missouri's inspection. The car started breaking down before he even got out of St. Louis and the front brakes completely went out once home in TN. We paid $2,000.00 for the car, had to put another $783.00 into it since and still needs another $1,669.00 paid out for it to be safe and reliable. They said it passed inspection but they won't send us the inspection report. They made inaccurate statements on the safety and relaibility. We have called them 3 times (twice told they would send the inspection report to our e-mail address. I e-mailed them at there website address and also at their request, faxed them a copy of the auto shop repair estimates adn bill paid on the brakes and towing, once the car was not drivable. We are going to have put $ $2449.85 in repairs on top of the $2,000.00 we paid for the car. They are not responding to us and we think it is unbelivable a business would put an Army Veteran's life in jeopardy by selling an unsafe car. He drove almost 300 miles home in a car that could have taken his life if the brakes had gone out on the highway instead of his driveway. The repairs were done in TN at an Auto Shop.

The car, a Pontiac Montana, was making a weird noise that I thought was due to the fact that our driveway is quite uneven at the moment. Took the car into Camdup and they found that the brakes were going out and that the tires need to be realigned. So that's what they did. What's great about Camdup is that the care about my car probably more than I do. They were very adamant when I picked up the car that I be more vigilant in taking care of the tires, especially doing rotations. They also, because we've used them frequently, always seem to do some kind of repair and/or diagnostic work without charging us. All the people at Camdup are great and don't make me feel like an idiot because I don't know a lot about cars. Most places do, so in that regard, and every other one I can think of, Camdup is a breath of fresh air. I would recommend them whole-heartedly to anybody needing automotive service. I just wish they did foreign cars so I could take my other car there, too.

They are a small local company, they call after you have the repair done to make sure everything is going ok and they are really great. We stared using them because a friend of my daughters parents recommended them.
