Amazing professional Shane was very good of explaining everything he didn't push me into buying his services instead of others ,I have told him I have 10 others coming to give me estimate .That is mostly what got me to use him instead of others.Best people I have use ever.?

We were originally using another HVAC organization for our yearly maintenance, but we were never impressed with their customer service and outcomes. On New Years Eve our HVAC Motor went out, and a relative recommended calling Awtrey for emergency service as they knew we were not happy with our current company. Awtrey was onsite within a few hours and managed to replace the motor and do a full system check onsite. They then did a free onsite checkup the same week to make sure everything was working ok. We now use them for all of our seasonal checkups and strongly recommend them as your first call for any HVAC needs.

I have two units one for each floor, so he serviced both of them. They just cleaned it and checked it. I think it was about $100 per unit. Overall, they're fine. Their punctuality is okay.

All in all, things went great! There was some confusion at the beginning of the project on start date but other than that their service was awesome! We live in a two-story house and the upstairs is always hot. With the help of the Awtry team, we decided to install two separate systems upstairs/downstairs for heating and cooling. I am beyond happy with the product (American Standard), service and warranty. I would recommend these guys for any future work or to any of my friends. They went above the call of duty and even provided me two portable units while I was waiting for them to install the actual units.

We were very pleased with Awtrey Heating and Air Conditioning and highly recommend them. Shane sold us with his understanding of how the systems work and his ability to explain that to us. He enabled us to evaluate three different options and choose the best solution for our home. Our old system of the same size as our new one never evenly cooled/ heated every area of our house and he was able to solve those issues with zoning and a variable speed system. And the cost was substantially less than the other proposals. We were also quite impressed with Brian and the team who installed our system. They were professional, courteous, cleaned up after each days work, patiently answered questions we had as the work progressed. and obviously knew and understood what they were doing. We were vey pleased and would recommend them without hesitation.

Simply stated, I will not let anyone else touch our air and heating systems now that I've found Shane and his crew/team.

Everything went great from Heather scheduling the appointment to Tony performing the service.  It is kind of amazing to me that prior to hiring Awtrey last year for maintenace of our HVAC unit, the other companies we utilized were basically charging us for service/freon that we did not need, but told us we had a slow leak in the system.  Oddly enough, Awtrey has not had to put any freon in the unit since they took over maintenace.  The employees we have dealt with are always very professional and courteous and leave you with the feeling that your business is important to them and they want the experience to be a pleasant one.  We will continue using Awtrey for years to come or at least that is the plan.  :)

Tony did a great job.  He arrived on schedule and took care to cover his shoes with booties to protect our home.  Tony is always very professional and friendly.  We have used Awtrey Heating and A/C in the past for furnace and A/C installations and have always received the best service.  Shane, Tony and the entire crew are very knowledgeable and their prices are always very reasonable.   Heather does a great job with scheduling and keeping in contact with customers regarding arrival times.   We wouldn't think of using any other company for our heating and cooling needs.  Thanks Tony for doing such great work!

The servicing process went very well.  TJ was on time for our appointment, very professional and pleasant.  He took the time to put footies on his shoes prior to entering the house, which a lot of companies don't do, but was impressive to me.  He explained everything that he was doing all through the process, and made recommendations on things or parts that should be replaced within the next year.  I purchased the PM package for future inspections mainly because he didn't try to push replacing anything today and did not add freon to the unit just out of habit like other companies have in the past.  I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of care TJ took during our visit today.  My plans are to continuing utilizing your services in the future and to provide references to my daughter and other family and friends.  Thanks for making this a pleasant experience.

Shane and his guys are awesome. They came to work everyday on time and even gave me suggestions on the work they were performing. Never tried to up sell or get more money out of me. Very friendly and always calls you back. Would definitely recommend.

When my 1981-vintage A/C compressor malfunctioned this year, I knew it was finally the time to replace the whole system, as well as my 1956-era furnace, and get some higher efficiency units installed (before the tax credits run out).  What I liked about Awtrey Heating and Air Conditioning:
- fair price
- listened to what I wanted and accomodated that
- went over various options appropriate for the system I needed and wanted, and let me pick which I wanted (no hard sells)
- did full Manual J calculations; did not just use a rule of thumb to size, or just put the same size back in with no further thought
- answered all my questions (and I had a lot), and answered them cheerfully
- communicated very well; always kept me informed
- always came exactly when they said they would
- the installation crew was extremely hardworking, conscientious, professional, and were also willing to answer all the questions I had while the furnace and A/C were going in
- everything was left very clean

Shane (owner of Awtrey Heating & A/C) was very thorough and performed a technical assessment of our unit to determine why, during hot weather our A/C can not keep up with cooling demands.
I invited three contractors to review my needs, make recommendations and offer a proposal for work. With the other two contractors, they came in looked at the unit (and only looked at it) and recommended an entirely new unit at Thousands of $$$$$ cost. Neither of them agreed on the same solution.
Shane determined that our unit was operating at peak efficiency but that it was marginally "undersized" for the heat load placed on the cooling unit. (south facing side, vaulted ceilings in about 2/3 of the house, lower value windows. He suggested we do an assessment that is partially paid for by the local electric company, and increase the number of air ducts in the house.
Our attempt is to squeeze as much performance out as we can BEFORE considering buying a larger unit. Even if a larger unit is needed, we would need to add  more duct work to distribute the increase air flow from a new unit. Shane was very professional and used a number of tools to measure the performance of the A/C unit in our 10 year old house.
Shane's prices were competitive but his strategy of making minor fixes (investments) may very well help us avoid paying for an entire new system to keep us cool during those 95-plus degree high temperatures. His approach was based on technology and took the time to explain the principals behind the issues and his recommendations.
While his pricing was competitve, he is helping us to keep from investing in a whole new system saving us a great deal of money. Great job, Shane.

I have no complaints. They were perfect. Their customer service was very friendly and professional. They did what they said they were going to do.

I initially used Shane for HVAC needs several years back.  When
replacing the HVAC system in my home I engaged several contractors and
received bids from each of them.  Shane was the only one that actually
measured my home and made a recommendation based on actual needs of my
home.  Other contractors tried to throw a over-sized unit in my home
which I later learned may result in very inefficient operation.
Shane has easily been the best contractor I have worked with in St. Louis. 
He is easy to work with and communicate with.  He's dependable, he does
what he says and he's very fair.  He'll explain the situation in a very
straight forward and easy to understand manner. 
After initial installation of my new HVAC unit several years ago Shane returned to
replace the motor on my outdoor A/C unit due to rain run off from my
roof wearing the fan motor out.  Most recently Shane returned to
troubleshoot the furnace motor that stopped running.  Although the motor
had recently expired from warranty Shane still provided a very
reasonable solution to get things running again.
I can't recommend Shane enough and wish more contractors were as easy to deal with as he is.
