They came out to look at the work 1-2 days after I called. We talked over the work and they left an estimate. I said we weren't in a hurry to have the work done and they could put us on their schedule whenever. One day, I noticed that the job had been completed while I was at work. I didn't notice a single branch or leaf on the ground around either tree location. The only reason Quality was rated as good and not excellent is that the work was done in the winter when the branches were bare, so won't know if they trimmed all the deadwood until spring.
Description of Work: Remove a dying sugar maple (inc. stump grind) and prune a large oak

So far so good but won't know for awhile if the oak wilt is under control. Would have rated them better if they had decent customer service.
Description of Work: Not very good at returning calls. Called to hire them to come and they didn't tell us when they were coming but just showed up. Luckily we were home. Would definitely been nice to know he was coming! Job is done but can't rate on effectiveness until we see if the oak wilt is contained. Seemed good but definitely needs to work on customer service.

I'm sorry you were unhappy with our customer service. Been married for 29 years and still have a hard time keeping him organized and contained. All kidding aside, We will try to make your next experience a far better one. Thank you for your review and i hope that the trenching does the trick, but unfortunately there are no guarantees when it comes to oakwilt, however it does have a proven record that we have seen from past customers. Here at Mack Tree we love the trees as much as you do. We only sell services that we know that work, That is why we don't sell or advertise all the hocus pocus juices so many other companies sell.

Went great I would recommend Mack Tree to anyone.
Description of Work: Cut down a very large tree that was hanging over our house , trimmed another tree, then cleaned up all the brush and ground out the stumps.

Chris and Dan were very responsive, prompt and professional in their service. Dan was out to the property the same day I called and got an estimate back in less than 24 hours. Once we gave them the greenlight, they were out within a day or two and did a great job. We will definitely be using them in the future for other projects we have that come up. A well run family owned business.
Description of Work: Mack Tree took care of some storm damage to an oak tree at a property we manage. A large upper limb snapped off and was stuck in the tree and hanging over a neighboring property.

They did a wonderful job on all three.
Description of Work: They cut down a huge tree that involved careful planning. Did some tree trimming and then cleaned up after themselves.

He damaged another tree and left it with broken branches. Didn't clean up as agreed. Positive - very cheap.
Description of Work: Cut down storm damaged trees.

I don't believe this customer is giving a true and accurate account of the work performed on their property. The customers wife called numerous times to let me know she wanted the pine tree removed and not to forget it. When I would pull her slip and go over it with her and explain the trees were marked on map on estimate slip as well each tree by name was written down in Colum as to what service we were providing per tree ( We each had a copy of the slip). She would continue to insist that the pine tree was involved in the estimate. Even though I had the original slip in front of me. I would explain, Dan would be happy to give her a price on that tree and if she wanted to added it , that we would be happy to do it. She was not at all happy with that she wanted it included in the price of the job she had hired us to do. quiet often we will do some tree work for free for a client when we are already on their property but this tree was far larger and would take far more time. This is the tree she now claims had a broken branch on it. As far as the clean up, the yard was raked and all brush hauled to back pasture as requested and put in a pile. We were hired to move all logs from cotton wood ( the tree we were hired to do base was as wide as a pickup truck) to back pasture as well. At customers request we were to leave logs in front yard where they laid so she could list it on Craig's list to sell as fire wood if someone was interested in cutting up and hauling away. We were told to leave logs where they were, therefore no we did not rake under logs and after people came out to cut up large cotton wood logs I'm sure there was debri from bark and saw dust along with what ever twigs were under the large trunks and branches. That can not be helped when we were asked to leave logs where they lay. During this entire process we had numerous phone calls per day from his wife and did not speak at all to her husband. We were warned by people driving by that we would be lucky to get paid and if we did it most likely would not be the full amount. By this time we were to far into the job. I'm happy to report the customer did pay us in full but never made us aware she was unhappy until I seen the review on Angie's List January 2013(2 years after the job completion). Mack Tree strives for customer Satisfaction and has had tons of happy customers.
