 + -1 moreI called Bill and explained the situation to him. He came by the next morning and worked diligently to free the latch. Taking the door off the hinges to remove the latch was not possible due to the 1942 hinge design. Bill masterfully and patiently worked on the latch through the very tiny space between the door frame and door until he freed the latch, removed the latch mechanism, and now I am able to once again use my door.
Description of Work: The circa 1942 doorknob latch mechanism on the back door of my home broke inside the mechanism, the latch was stuck in the closed position and I was then unable to use/open the door or access the latch mechanism myself to free it.
