Once we connected and I got the bid, things just fell into place.
Brant was punctual, respectful, and very professional in his demeanor and his work.
There was a small issue after the fact which he fixed it within two days, no problem.
I couldn't be happier with the product, the craftsmanship, and the overall experience.
I will definitely be using Woodland Remodeling in the future and recommending him to my friends and family and you.
I already have a bid for my next project.
Thank you!
Very helpful advice in the design phase. A pleasure to work with.
I sought to find a contractor to demolish and remove the old floors, replace the roughly 300 square feet correctly this time with backer-board, style the bathroom with some decorative accent tiles and give it a sort of and quot;Tuscan Villaand quot; feel.
After receiving bids from 3 contractors, I realized Woodland was competitive, although not the cheapest (they were in the middle)...BUT, I was looking for Great quality workmanship and a few extra's, such as tiling under the cabinets, replacing some rotted sub-floor in the bathroom, and replacing a fan/light combo in the bathroom. Also to save a little money, I wanted to buy the supplies myself, and use a and quot;Bagsterand quot; Bag to remove the debris.
After hearing that Brant Sorenson, the sole-proprietor (and sole remodeler) has won awards for his tiling jobs and other remodeling projects in the past, and realizing his high remodeling acumen after discussing fine details of the project, I chose to hire him! Brant went above and beyond my requests...he identified some water leaking issues with the old dishwasher and fixed them, waterproofed the bathroom sub-floor, offered some tiling design ideas which I chose to implement, and overall did a dynamite job!
In addition, he was professional, polite, on-time, and worked very quickly, as I was able to check-in and see where things were at during several steps in the project. He also cleaned up as if he hadn't even been there at all, which was refreshing! Not to mention I was on a very tight time constraint which he met perfectly (I had 5 days to go from start to finish, and he finished in 4 1/2). Finally, there were no surprise over-charges at the end (also very refreshing).
Brant kind of reminded me of the and quot;Holmes on Homesand quot; guy from HGTV, because he insists on doing things right so there aren't problems in the future. I have hired dozens of contractors over the years and I firmly believe he ranks up there with the best.
I would recommend Woodland (Brant) to anyone looking for excellent work, fine detailed craftsmanship, and tons of value for the money. I believe he also does many other kinds of general remodeling (you'll have to ask).
I doubt you will be disappointed if you hire him!
