Wayne Construction Co. gave the lowest bid of three companies. I have used them before. They did the job very professionally. Wayne construction is the one to use for your project. I highly recommend them.

I hired Mike Knajdek from Wayne Construction in 2013 to replace the sidewalk next to our home and lay a new sidewalk and steps next to the new garage we built. A year or two later I called him again to come out and replace a damaged section of sidewalk at our home. On both occasions, Mike and his crew did an excellent job. They were fast and efficient, talked through a couple of options with me prior to starting work, answered all my questions. He is definitely my go-to guy for any future concrete work.

I hired Mike Knajdek of Wayne Construction in July 2017 to replace my front steps and a small section of the adjacent sidewalk. Unfortunately, he delayed the job until mid November. They poured the concrete in below freezing weather, and allowed it to dry under tarps that were touching the surface of the wet cement. The results are white stripes and blotches on the surface of the finished concrete. For six months, all inquiries to the owner Mike Knajdek, were answered by his wife Bonnie, who had never been to the job site and never even seen the questionable work in person. Now, six months later, after receiving my complaint from the BBB, Mr. Knajdek finally did return to look at the steps. But he admits no fault, he claims the cause of the streaks and blotches is simply "Minnesota weather". Three other contractors I have spoken to disagree. I am told that the cause of the damage was the fact that Mr. Knajdek allowed tarps to lie directly on the surface of the cement in below freezing weather. I am told this could have been prevented by simply propping the tarps up a few inches. Mr. Knajdek and I have failed to settle the dispute through the BBB. And Mr. Knajdek refuses to offer even a partial refund. I am told that the white streaks and blotches may fade over time but will likely never completely go away. Excellent work

Wayne construction was great. I watched them pour the foundation for my garage and asked if they did patios. They worked with me to design a patio that went from the edge of my house to the garage. I was worried about drainage and Mike assured me he could pitch it so that the water runs off and away from both the house and the garage. The finished product is beautiful, it is pitched perfectly and they were quick, efficient and neat. I would highly recommend them to do concrete work.

They were fast, professional, and well-organized. They solved problems quickly, did amazing work cutting my olddriveway to match up. I worked on some cement crews a few decades ago and I have to say, it was a pleasurewatching this crew do their work.

My first experience with Wayne Construction was when they did the concrete and masonry work for a new garage I had built by Minneapolis Garage Construction. (also an outstanding company) It was obvious that Mike and his crew took great pride in their work, with the attention to detail and quality needed to make things "right". During the garage build, I hired Mike for the sidewalks and porch. He was able to come back about two weeks later to complete the additional work. They were very professional with every aspect of the job.

3 years later and the garage and driveway are still in great condition which proves the high quality of their work. They have a great crew that has been working together for decades. They were prompt, polite and left everything spotlessly clean. When I asked them if they make an old sidewalk curve wider (without giving them warning so they could order more concrete) they figured out a way to make it work, and we are very pleased with the result.

Mike & his crew did an excellent job. I am very pleased. They arrived timely on the date agreed upon and set out getting right to work. They certainly knew what needed to be done and did it. Surprisingly it only took them about 6hrs to complete the job. When I asked Mike if "curing" the footing so fast was a good idea, he told me they use a "drier" concrete so it doesn't take as long and that it was just as strong as the regular concrete. I had gotten 11 estimates for this project. One of the main reasons I went with this company was the fact that as an owner of the business Mike was also a worker instead of sitting behind a desk and counting beans. He was right there getting dirty with the rest of his crew. Another reason was that when he came to give the estimate he did not show up in a big fancy expensive truck. From this and past experiences these are the ones who have given me the highest bids!! Mike's bid was not the highest or the lowest, I felt it was the fairest considering what I felt needed/wanted to be done and how it was going to be done and what kinds of materials were being used. A 3rd important reason was that he did not require any payment until a week after the job was satisfactorily completed and even then I could set up a payment plan. Mike & his guys worked through the full six hrs with only one quick lunch break (impressive) since that day was very hot & very humid. Plus they were working my project between other jobs. The job was completed 2-3 weeks ago but I wanted to check it out again before making a report. It looks great and is blending in very well with the existing wall.

This company was first hired by my garage contractor I like the work they performed I hired Mike and his crew to build a retaining wall and sidewalk. They was on time and clean they did the job hired for and left me with care information and no hidden cost. I'm in building maintenance and will be hiring this company for more future projects.

He collected $12,000.00 from me and did $3,000 worth of work. I recommend that you do not use this company.

SAID THEY WOULD BE THERE TO START AT 7:00 AM AND SHOWED UP EARLY. WORK WAS COMPLETED BY NOON. CREW WORKED WELL TOGETHER AND VERY COURTEOUS. ANOTHER CREW SHOWED UP AT NOON TO HELP COVER THE NEW SLAB AS IT WAS GOING TO STORM SOON. I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL THIS CONTRACTOR AGAIN. I APPRECIATED IT MOST WHEN WAYNE STOPPED OUT TO BID ON THE JOB AND HE DIDN'T TELL ME TO CHANGE THE SIZE OR POSITION OF THE SLAB.
