They provided excellent response time. I called in the afternoon and the job was completed the next morning. My townhome has a PowerVent water heater which is pricey. I am sure their price was competitive for this type of installation. Keith and his employee were courteous, cleaned up after themselves and explained in detail how to use the new appliance and how to apply for Xcel rebate. Several of our neighbors have also used Keith and all were pleased with the service.

Good communication, good price. They came with the right tools and got the job done. I feel a lot safer with lower, controllable water pressure.

Keith was stellar on all counts! He was very professional and trustworthy. He went so above and beyond to make sure everything was corrected and running properly and even helped us fight a rejected claim with our insurance company -- that we could not have won without his advice, expertise and outstanding support. He didn't have to help us with the insurance and gained nothing by doing so, even though with his help we received several thousand dollars from insurance that would not have happened without his help!!! Keith was a real hero for us!!!

Dave Nelson removed our old water softener and installed a new one.  He was very professional, work was completed on time as stated and protective measures were taken to protect moving the softener in and out of the house. The system installed carries a 5 year installation and manufacturers warranty.

They were great. He was really good. He came 6 a.m. in the morning to accommodate my schedule and he told me exactly what he was going to do and exactly how much it's going to cost. I would call him again. He was high priced but he was really clear on what he was doing. He came right away when I needed him to be there. He was very professional. He came with a neat truck, wearing kind of a golf shirt and he's meticulous.

He provided tips on how to best maintain the disposal. I found him to be prompt, friendly and knowledgeable.

This family company is unbelievably conscientious.  Keith returned my call regarding a leak in the old dishwasher at 10 PM because I mentioned we had company coming to dinner the next evening. When it was determined we needed a new dishwasher, he agreed to remove the old one on, then install the new one at the same price charged by the appliance company.  We chose to use Nelson plumbing because they had always done a good job the few other times we needed service.  Was that ever the right decision!  The DW was a different brand, made in Germany, so many of the fittings were different than the original washer.  His plumber worked hard, cleaned up, and did an excellent job.  It was much more complicated than I anticipated due to the European style.  The dishwasher works great, and the install was perfect.

It went well. They came the day after we called them. The price was good, and included a 5 year warranty. It's a nice family owned business. We were really pleased.

We had called a company to come in and help us clean up a leak in our basement guest room ceiling.  It was during the really cold spell in February and there was a lot of condensation around.  the plumbing company came in to fix the leak 0--- they were great!

They have done several jobs for us, and we have been very pleased with them.  They have done enough work around here that we can give them high marks on everything; otherwise, we would not have had them back.  They had put in a garbage disposal, new toilet, new water softener, outdoor faucet, sump pump, and replaced faucets.  They are very reputable.  We have been very satisfied with their work.  They are a little higher than others are.  We had to wait a little bit, but it is worth it because we know that work is going to be done well.  When they said they would be coming, they show up.

These guys are great.  Family owned, local business.  Polite, friendly, efficient.  I have used their services many times, and am always pleased with the results.  Good communication, prompt service.

What stood out about their service was their availability because none of the other high ranking companies were available. They came right away, on the same day. The cleanup afterwards was okay. It was a leaking pipe that was trickling down the water so it hasn’t leaked again.

I had a very good experience with them. They were really nice. They came out on time. I was very happy with them. They cleaned up really well. My basement was cleaned before and after they were done. They didn’t try to sell me something that I didn’t need. They charged me $138 for the job. They were excellent. Their price was fair. Other companies in my area charge $180 just to show up. This company did the installation well and it works. I really liked them. I will definitely use them again.

I was quite happy with their service. The price was right and they did what was expected out of them and did well. I will call on them again in the future.

I called a few companies from Angie's list for quotes. Keith Nelson gave me the lowest quote for the same water heater, and they came in the following day to replace. They arrived about 40 min late, however Keith did call me that they would be 30 min late due to unexpected emergency. Steve, one of Keith's son, replaced the water heater and the shut-off valve to the heater. He was very professional, and cleaned up very thoroughly afterward. They even broke down the cardboard boxes for me. I would definitely use them again for any future plumbing-related services.

This is a good example of the painful difference between paying by the job and paying by the hour. I had another contractor lined up who was familiar with the faucet I needed to install (quoted me between $125 and $175), but ended up not being able to make it till after the weekend, and I needed it before. I called KN plumbing and they were able to come out the next day. Keith warned me that they were all about quality not about just being low cost. Keith's son came out the next day. He was prompt and courteous and seemed like a genuinely nice guy. He quickly got to work and had the faucet installed in about an hour and 15 minutes. He then spent another 90 minutes on the drain. I went up to check on things and he told me he couldn't get it to stop leaking. Ultimately he blamed the design and said he had never heard of the brand and thought it was faulty. I had to go to work so I told him I would just do it myself. He was very nice about it and let me know what he thought the problem was, and recommended a different drain style and told me I had to get some silicon adhesive to make it work. He did seem to feel bad about it and told me he wouldn't charge me for the extra time spent. In the end I am glad he didn't get it to work because he showed me the actual charge from them would have been just over $400 but he took $100 off. ($400 to install a sink???) In the end I spent $300 and still couldn't use my sink. When I got home from work that night, I took 20 minutes to put in the original drain following the directions that came with it. It dripped the first time I tried it, so I further tightened the nut underneath the washer and it hasn't dripped since. No silicon needed. The design was fine. While the guy did a great job installing the faucet itself, I think the he was just thrown off by the design on the drain or something. I can't say and certainly didn't think he was stalling just to make more money. Either way if it had been a company that paid by the job and not the hour it wouldn't have made a difference. Lesson learned.
