ceramic tile
+ -1 moreTile work was excellent. They were able to lay the tile perfectly level on my uneven cement floor. However, I ordered the 12 by 24 inch tile and wanted it laid at a 50/50 split. The salesperson insisted that they had to lay it at a 30/70 ratio due to the length of the tile. The owner said they could do the 50/50 pattern if that was what I wanted and that's what i've seen in every application in real life or on HGTV. However, I forgot to confirm that and it was laid at the 30/70. It's ok because it's just a small laundry room. I think the real reason they want to lay it that way is that it is easier for the tile layer. Don't have to be quite as precise perhaps. So, just be clear on what you want and stick to it.
