Designer Exteriors, Inc

I have been working with him since October 2013. He was supposed to do the job in Spring 2014 however that never worked out. This has been a back and forth process. I've last talked to him November 2014 and he advised me he would get back with me before the end of the year. It is now 2015 and I havent heard from him. He also isnt answering or returning any of my phone calls.

,From the minute after we signed with designer exteriors and Nathan told us your insurance company is going to tell you we are a bunch of crooks, we have been worried. Our fears were mostly valid. When they finnally started work about 4 and 1/2 months after signing us up we knew we were screwed. We had listened to so many lies by that point we knew we would have to watch every little detail. It started the first day when they tried to cover our old insulation with house wrap instead of doing it the way they had said they would. When I called Nathan I was left speechless when he said I cant seem to please you when I suggested that they should do what they agreed to do. Don't believe a person who comes in your home and tells you that you will be happy but never puts the details down on a contract. The company line is you will be happy. They are done, they will be paid the final third as soon as we receive the last check from insurance but I would recommend they never set foot on my property again unless I summon them. That would only be in a case where I had to repair their work and a judge said I couldn't hire reputable people to do it. I have pictures showing how they didn't install windows according to manufacturers specs. Showing how they put house wrap and another layer of insulation all around the house and completely covering all the outlets and light outlets and doorbell wires and then had to cut holes to search for each of these things. They ran insulation and house wrap right up to the old windows and then when they had to rip them out and install my new ones they cut a few inches of both away to do it. They didn't cut the wrap at the corners, fold it back, and then bring it back to the window and tape the cuts. They just cut it away. Then patched insulation back and taped around the edges. They weren't going to use sill tape untill my wife insisted they use ours before they put the window in. I dont blame the actual workers who were there most of the time. There were three guys but they didn't have the tools to do the job right. When I saw one of the guys relieving himself in the corner of my patio on the last day I couldn't help but think it represented the sum of our experiences with designer exteriors. I have to many more bad experiences documented to bore you with. Be careful. I'm going to try not to think about them again.

It went really good. They seem to have high integrity. They saw to it that they did the job that we talked about doing. They stuck to their price. Everybody was very polite, friendly and easy to get along with.
