I simply can not say enough good things about Craig's work. After confirming that my current drain line was the incorrect size and not code, Craig completely rerouted my kitchen sink drainage for half the price I was expecting. The work was top notch. Aesthetics matter even in situations like this. He kept that in mind while running his pipes allowing for the lines to be hidden as much as possible but keeping proper flow. I will not be calling anyone but him in the future if I need additional plumbing work. Thanks again Craig

He was polite, evaluated the situation and quoted the price. He completed the job quickly and gave me a senior discount. I would totally call Clog-Away and recommend the company to others.

Craig was very unprofessional. He switched the price after he arrived, which was 40% more than the rate that he advertised and quoted me. He tried to rationalize the price to me, and he then got very confrontational when I tried to push back on the price. I caught him in a lie a couple times as he tried to explain his higher price (I can hardly wait to hear the lies when he responds to this review). After I said I'd just pay the higher fee (since I didn't want to go through the hassle of lining up another company), he told me that this job wasn't worth it to him, packed up his tools, and left. Before he left, he stated that I wouldn't find a better or more reasonable person to do this work, and that he is "the best company around" for this work. Well before he had even driven away, I had already lined up another company to do the drain cleaning for the price that Craig originally quoted me, and this company received excellent reviews on Angie's List. It's not hard to find a drain cleaning company for $99, contrary to what Craig believes. Craig also tried to rationalize his higher price saying that he is a plumber, though he's not listed as a licensed plumber on his Angie's List page. He even advertises using the Better Business Bureau (BBB) logo, though he isn't BBB accredited. **Note that I listed that 'services were performed by this provider' since he started doing the work before telling me of the increased price.

I disagree that there was any unprofessionalism on our behalf. I do recall this interaction in which I explained the $99 rate was for preventative maintenance service (meaning the drain is not yet clogged by a stoppage). The ad placed in craigslist spells that out; I will include a link below to such an ad. Upon inspection, I found that your main sewer line was in fact clogged; warranting the regular rate. In addition, I also offered to clean your floor drain and a second floor drain free of additional charge. At which point you then began to question my diagnostic techniques and also haggled about the pricing from the ad you did not read correctly. Being in this field for 15 years, I've seen many things and have encountered many customers; some of whom not very nice. I am very good at my job and offer my services at a very reasonable price. In my 15 years I have never walked away from a customer. I thoroughly tried to explain our pricing and also offered free service in addition. This was in reaction to the miscommunication our ad had on you. I am truly sorry I left you unsatisfied and with a drain clog unresolved. But I am prideful of my abilities and morals and stand by my work. I have built this business by not burning bridges and leaving a good impression. I was uninterested in your business Mr Gervais, because I showed up when you asked, I diagnosed the problem and offered suggestions along with free services that I normslly charge for. You responded by questioning my procedures and also by reminding me that you could get someone else for a cheaper rate. I simply allowed you to exercise that option. Thank you, and good day.
