Ostvig Tree Service

We have been Ostivig Tree Care customers since 2010. We interviewed several other companies before deciding upon Ostvig. They distinguished themselves from the others immediately. The process was well organized from start to finish with the first step being to meet with one of their extremely knowledgeable arborists. The scope of the work is evaluated and the cost is assessed. If the customer decides to proceed, a date is set and a crew is sent out to complete the work. We have been impressed by Ostvig’s professionalism both in their appearance and in their manner. They are conscientious about being on time and staying in touch if issues, such as weather, might preempt a job. The individuals that do the work of pruning, tree removal or various treatments related to insects or tree illness take pride in their work and have consistently been polite, punctual and conscientious when it comes to completing the task as promised and have carefully cleaned up after every job. When we have had questions about a job or have requested a follow up call, the response has been prompt and courteous. We would definitely recommend them.

Very thorough and very professional. Have lots of knowledge about trees. They are always on time and do great clean up when they're done. Very reasonably priced. They are arborists, not just some guy coming with an axe.

It went very well.  They did forget to perform the cabling, but came back the next day when I called to remind them about it.  All in all, very professional and well done.

They removed the tree, ground the stump, raked the are and were done in about fifty minutes.  They did a great job, and you can't tell there was ever a tree where they took one out.  They were very professional.  We used them to grind two tree stumps earlier this spring.  They did a great job that time too.  I would definitely use them again for tree service.

We got estimates from three different tree care services to cut a large limb on our big silver maple that was hanging over our house. We ultimately chose Ostvig because they offered to prune the maple along with a birch out front, along with removing the limb, for the best price overall. After I called to set up the appointment, I was told to send an email to the general Ostvig email account confirming the appointment. I never got an email back, so I called again just to make sure they received it. (They had.)

The crew arrived right on time, even a bit early, on the day of the appointment and had the limb removed and both trees pruned within three hours. There was tons of debris on our yard after the pruning, so I was impressed that they cleaned the yard so well that you could barely tell someone was there! They seemed to do a great job pruning the trees and our trees look very good.

I asked them if they could leave us some firewood, and they left us several big logs that we'll have to chop up into smaller logs ourselves.

After the job was done and the yard cleaned up, they drove off. We received a bill in the mail a week or so later.

The company was very professional overall and I'd consider using them again for another tree job.

They were very professional and prompt when we called them for a quote.  They came out several times before we finally decided to have the work done.  They did a great job trimming the trees and they cleaned everything up.  We would call them again if we needed to have more work done.

They came right out to give me an estimate. The tree was sitting on a power line, so they had to wait for the electric company to shut off the power. Ostvig Tree came out right away after power was shut off, removed the trees, and cleaned up the yard.

A large linden tree blew down on Monday, Aug 1. I called several local tree removal services. Ostvig responded quickly, gave me a fair estimate, and was able to remove the tree in just a few days after meeting with us.

They are very courteous and efficient. They cleaned up everything and did a great. Whenever I need tree work done, I automatically call them. They are very helpful and knowledgeable.
