Highcroft Manor of Wayzata

Description of Work: I've lived at Highcroft for 2 1/2 years, and I LOVE THIS PLACE. Managed by Dixie--who is a sassy 70+ lady with fire and pizzaz--this place is charming, clean, affordable, and fun. She responds to needs in an instant, the pool is always clean and warm (or clean and cool when the whether gets hot), you can't beat an indoor, heated garage, and my apartment (away from the train) is actually quite quiet and as sunny as can be!! I call my place "the oasis." I know a lot of my neighbors--nice, respectful people. The grounds are extremely well groomed and bursting with flowers all spring and summer. Most apartments have either a balcony walk-out porch (mine doesn't but I like it that way), and every unit comes with extra storage space. Dixie let me hang my bike in the garage and is definitely at the heart of what is best about this place. She's smart and caring and has lived an amazing life. And who doesn't love parquet flooring (in my apartment but not all). It's been a great place to raise a child, paint in my art space, live and have fun. It's 1/2 mile from "downtown" Wayzata (including Ben&Jerry's, Caribou, Gianni's, Sunsets, Maggie's, Macormick's, and a bunch of retail shops), and it's across the street from a great park and the sandy Minnetonka Beach. As Dixie's voice mail says: "If you're lucky enough to be here, you're lucky enough." Cheers!
