Sorensen'S Chimney Service (Waite Park)

Dave Sorensen was one of a few Chimney Sweeps in Minnesota recommended because of his knowledge and experience (over 25 years) by the Minnesota company that manufactured our fireplace. Dave first came to clean our chimney about a year ago because I was concerned that our fireplace had experienced a chimney fire and after he started to clean the chimney he noticed a couple of cracks in the tile liner. At that point he stopped the cleaning and told me that I would need to repair the chimney. He only charged for the service call and the brief time it took to see and take pictures of the cracks in the tile liner. He then gave an estimate to install a new stainless steel liner in the chimney. His estimate was about 1/3 the cost of another local Chimney Sweep.

We purchased our home with a wood burning fireplace around 2 years ago and we needed to have the chimney cleaned. I was not experienced with wood burning fireplaces and the cleaning required. I called a local Chimney Sweep and he came by and gave my wife an estimate for cleaning the chimney it seemed very expensive. That's when I stared to do some research on Chimney Sweeps and prices for chimney cleaning and repair. I found that there are very few Chimney Sweeps in MN and I recommend you check and get a reputable referral before you have someone come by and clean your wallet at the same time they clean your chimney.

Dave Sorensen is very honest and reputable (a bit of a character) and I give him 5 stars and highly recommend to anyone needing chimney cleaning or repair.
