BERNIE VAIL

Description of Work: Bernie installed 36 Marvin replacement windows. One bank of three windows required the trim both outside and inside be removed (also taking off the aluminum wrapping on the outside of the trim). The overall design of the window had to be changed, which Bernie planned and then rebuilt beautifully, using the original trim to maintain the character of the house. He also recovered the outside trim of this bank of windows using the original wrapping, thus maintaining the original appearance of the house. Bernie repaired lathe-and-plaster ceilings and many large cracks in lathe-and-plaster walls in multiple rooms. Bernie also rebuilt the upper wall of a plaster fireplace that had been remodeled circa 1950. This was an extensive job, requiring Bernie to problem solve throughout the process.
