Appliance Repair
Called at 9am Christmas Eve and the repairman was at our door by 11am and had the fix done before noon. Kyle Blaha was very polite and professional. All at the reasonable price quoted up front. Fantastic! Saved Christmas.

I really enjoy giving good reviews but definitely cannot do so. I do not want to go through all the detail I went through with this company as I know you lose readers when your story is very lengthy. Suffice it to say we paid $551.17 to replace a part on our LG washer which I like to keep in excellent condition and it ended up scratched up and not repaired. The company will not start without the whole amount being paid up front as they claim they have to order a (minimally) costing part. A rep from LG was sent out to our home and charged $200.00. He had to replace two more parts because of the damage (the Control Panel which the Repair Appliance tech scratched up and the lid which no longer, soft closed.) The LG tech couldn't believe the price we paid and had to contend with such poor performance and behavior. I would have called the LG tech to begin with but did not know I had that option until I called LG with this situation. When contacting the company (ARI) to speak to the manager or owner, your call is either not returned or when you do get a hold of the manager, you are treated very rudely when asking to take care of the problem. Just take a look at their Better Business rating (Appliance Repair Inc in Blaine, MN) and you will see an "F," a rating you just don't see, even seldomly. I only hope that no one else has to go through such fiasco as I can honestly say this is one company I would never deal with again and hope no one else has to as well! I am giving this review at this point in time per Angie's List request.

They did have to order a $60 part. They didn't fix the issue. They scratched up our machine and damaged the door. They were unresponsive to the issues, once we were in touch with someone they were so rude.
We had to pay ahead before they would even do work. They were way over priced. We ended up having LG coming out and they agreed that we were scammed.
I would never use them again.

Was set up to do work through my home warranty service. They were obligated to call back within 24 hours. They did not. We waited 4 days and got in touch with Sears for repair of our oven. Then these people finally call us back to schedule the appointment. They gave a day earlier for a window. Problem is it is now the day off and they did not show up during the predicted window. I had to call them five times to request status. Finally cancelled. They were over two hours late and kept saying I was next in line and that the technician would be here shortly! Terrible way to treat your customers!!

Chad came out and gave me an estimate for repairs on my clothes dryer that wasn't heating and on my stove that had a burner that didn't work and an oven ignitor that was making me nervous because it hadn't been replaced in 14 years and I'm hosting Thanksgiving and need the turkey baked. I did not want to risk the oven breaking down. We agreed on the price and the parts were ordered. Payment was made up front because parts had to be ordered. Steve came out 3 business days later to repair the dryer that wasn't heating and fix the stove & oven. He was cheerful and efficient and didn't have a problem with me trying to clean the exposed grime as he was working. The whole process went smoothly.

I called ARI to get advice on a smelly HE washer after the advice from the manufacturer proved ineffective. ARI said they couldn't give me any advice and would have to make a service call to my home. A very nice technician came out and promptly told me there was nothing he could do if the things the manufacturer had already told me hadn't worked. He suggested I go buy a cleaning product and charged me $95 for the visit. I subsequently spoke with a manager at ARI and asked for my money back because what the technician told me standing in my laundry room he cold have just told me over the phone. That request was denied. ARI confirmed that they had in fact refunded money for another customer in a similar situation but that that customer had paid them for previous services and I had not. The manager told me that he himself would never place a call asking for his money back.
