Excellent service from my stylist Meghan. The only negative was the cost. I moved from a rural area where the cost for the same services was considerably less.

I am new to the area and this was my first time to this salon. I have no complaints about the hair stylist, color or trim. She was great. However, I am unemployed and can not afford to spend $150 for these services. Unfortunately, I will need to look for another salon within my price range.

It is a great atmosphere. The people are generally nice. They have all the latest products that are out there. I just think that they are very good. I would recommend him to family members and friends.

I accidentally found this place because of the coupon. After the first treatment even though it smoothed out some frizzeness from my hair it wasn't as expected. The owner, Kelly was really nice and treated me again by herself without any extra charge. She also offered me to come back to wash my hair and flat iron it for me to see how it turned out. She has been a hairstylist for over 19 years with many years of teaching. It's a spacious, clean and nicely decorated salon. Now she is my hairstylist and I recommend her highly.

I used to go to a couple different big fancy salons in downtown Minneapolis and routinely paid about $150 to have my hair cut and colored. I decided to try Java, a newer salon right in Stillwater where I live. It's a beautiful old space right on Main St. with parking in a lot directly behind it (you can enter from the back or front). They have a comfortable seating area in back overlooking the St. Croix river, and the whole place is spacious with high ceilings and elegant decor. Crystal was able to match my hair color perfectly and has done my hair in a style to match the dress I was wearing for a party;she's very accommodating! I love the convenience, the ambiance, and the price of my new salon. Also, they have Kerastasse products that are hard to find and quite a treat for your hair! The only thing I can complain about is their shampoo bowls, which are uncomfortable on your neck when leaning back. Either chairs need to be higher or a pillow is needed, or both!
