Cates Fine Homes

This is a family owned business. You will begin with Jay Cates. He reviews your plans and needs, writes the contract and details the costs. Once the contract is signed, you can count on the Cates family to be on schedule. Jay works with the excavation and rough-in crews. Once the home is buttoned-up, brother Jeff takes over and works with all the interior and finishing subcontractors. Jennifer, their sister, manages the business office and makes sure you are on schedule making the millions of decisions for paint, carpet, appliances, tile, stone, light fixtures, etc. You receive a detailed schedule of what decisions are needed and the deadlines for each. The job was never waiting on something that was ordered late. When the architect's plans could be improved upon, they made suggestions. And if a problem arose (and problems will always arise when building a home), they communicated openly and worked with us to find a solution.
