ARROW BUILDING CTR

The boards were delivered and wrapped in plastic. My husband took a quick look and it was very good quality. We didn't open the package for about a week because we were out of town.. After we opened the package, we noticed the boards seem really thick. My husband measured the boards and compared them to an old piece of the same type of bead board we still had. The bead board we received was 3/4 thick. I then called Nick at Arrow, and told him what had happened. I explained the size difference. I also reminded him we had chosen that particular size from a sample board they had on a display. Nick took the board down and got all the information on it.. I mentioned to him if there was a difference in price we would pay the difference, order more etc. I also asked if we needed to return the boards now. He said he would call us back. He called us back and said it was ordered wrong. This was early. in the week. I called him back on Friday. He said, "He had to talk to his manager". He finally called us on Tuesday. He told me that there was a 25% restocking fee. I gave the phone to my husband. Nick said, "There as a 25% restocking fee ". My husband then asked for the manager. The manager, Bill, told my husband the same thing. He also said that it was a special order. We were not told that, at the time we ordered the wood. He also said there were signs in the store about it. We didn't notice any signs . He would not work with my husband in resolving the problem. The bottom line was the wood was ordered incorrectly by Arrow and they would not exchange it without a restocking fee.
