First let me say that we were at a point of being very discouraged in our looking for a contractor to come in and finish our basement remodeling project. It was a project that we started and decided (3/4 of the way through the sheetrocking process) we wanted to finish by means of a contractor. I even used high-rated names off of the Angie's List site and found little or no follow-through from the people we called. To this day, I am not sure if the project was too small or what. Needless to say, I got Kenny's name through a contact at church. We called him in for a quote and found him to be very friendly, professional, courteous and thorough in the information he gave to us. We were also very happy with the quote that he gave. We contracted the job to him. We have a 1950's house, and as I mentioned it was a remodeling job that we started ourselves. So between the two, Kenny and Craig ran into a few issues (e.g. A poorly leveled doorway), but they worked with these issues and provided a quality end product. They were very pleasant individuals to work with. They allowed us to buy the products that we wanted to buy which resulted in additional savings to us. They also gave us suggestions on where to buy for the best savings. Kenny had some extra materials after doing the walls and texturing the ceiling, so he offered to put texturing on our walls for no additional cost. We had a small finish problem of seeing a few nails through the Sheetrock after we painted the walls. They came back and fixed the problem to perfection. I provided Kenny some constructive criticism upon completion, my only "complaint" per SE. There was over spray from the ceiling sprayer which ended up on my new windows. I told him that as a consumer I would have appreciated either a forewarning that it was my responsibility to cover the windows before spraying or his cleaning up the over spray. The only other issue was e-mails. We tried on numerous occasions communicating by e-mail. Due to technical problems on Kenny's end I did not receive quotes and other communications from him which sometimes left me wondering about responsiveness on his end. However, he came through by bringing quotes to my house and dropping them off in the mailbox when it was brought to his attention that the info was not received. We waited a bit on the second quote which we asked for, but he did end up coming through on it. Yes, I would hire Kenny and Craig again. They were great. We have a beautiful basement that is now our family room, computer and play room and we love it!
