We contacted Antonio by phone. He was very pleasant and came to our house a few days later. He gave us a detailed estimate of all the work that was to be done and answered all our questions. He said that he hoped that he would be able to start work a few days later on the 19th, but was actually able to start on the 17th. He removed carpet, padding, sheet vinyl and ceramic tile with underlayments, and disposed of all of them. He then filled in all the gaps making all the floors (967 square feet) smooth and level. Then he laid paper and installed the hardwood flooring that we purchased: 3 1/4" x 3/4" prefinished white oak. I believe it is nailed down. The flooring is beautiful! He did an excellent job of mixing various lengths and hues. And over such a large area, you can really see how perfectly level the floor is, which is remarkable since this 23-year-old house was never intended to have hardwood. He was a pleasure to work with.
