I have a 2001 Saturn and the car gets hot even when the temperature is moderate. So having working air is quite important to me. Another shop had tried a few things and given up on this problem after three visits to the shop.

This spring I brought it to this Maplewood Aamco repair shop. They did not find it easy to diagnose either, and it took several return trips to completely fix the problem. On 3 of these trips they replaced a seal or two and recharged the system at no additional cost. They did eventually find the root cause and the air is working great now.

I was impressed by both the sales/appointment person (Brian) and the technician that worked on my car. I clearly understood in working with them that resolving the problem was very important to them. The technician came out of the shop a few times to talk with me about what he had discovered and done.

This is a small shop with great service. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We had previously spent significant dollars and time at other repair and transmission shops trying to determine why this transmission would randomly shift from overdrive into third gear and then after one second shift back into overdrive. The other shops checked electrical and mechanical areas and either could not figure it out or concluded that we needed a transmission rebuild at a cost of about $3000.

AAMCO of Maplewood did a thorough diagnosis and fixed the problem by replacing a modulator and an electronic control module at a total cost of $563.

We were extremely impressed with the professional knowledge and positive attitude of the staff at AAMCO of Maplewood. Even though the F7 transmission is very rare and 21 years old, Ashlee was extremely knowledgeable and did an outstanding job of keeping us informed as they did the diagnosis and repairs! We could not be more pleased with our total experience at AAMCO of Maplewood.

The work was performed about a year and a half ago. They did a good job and a lot of times when you go to chain places (or big companies), they try to sell you a bunch of other stuff that you don't need but this company didn't do any of that. We appreciated that and would use them again.

Very well. They diagnosed the old transmission and said it wasn't worth rebuilding. They were able to find a used Mercedes transmission, warrantied it, and did the install. Everything was done on time and as estimated. Car runs great!

Bill was very friendly, but I had to call him twice for updates he said he would call me on. I also think the price was excessive. He did explain the costs to me but didn't show me my "bad parts" like he said he would.
