The Maids

I have been a faithful client of The Maids for over 5 years now. I am never disappointed and always amazed at how they work in our house. In 5 years we have never had an issue, anything broken or missing - and its so nice to come home the day they clean. The house is spotless and fresh smelling when they leave. They work in a fairly large team, so they don't occupy your house all day - just a part of the day which is an extra bonus! They deserve more than and A rating.

They do a really good job on general cleaning. They could probably pay a little more attention to detail better. They've been trustworthy, consistent, they show up on time. Their communication is good.

I have been using The Maids for recurring cleaning at my home in Minneapolis for about 24 months. The teams are extremely thorough and efficient, and the services provided have been consistently of high quality. I have been very happy with the service provided by the cleaners themselves, with my only criticism falling in the areas of my dealings with the office staff/ownership. First, I'd say that the service provided is at the very high-end of the scale toward expensive/over-priced. The hours charged for each visit relative to the amount of time spent by the team cleaning are toward the aggressive side of the spectrum, based on my observations. Secondly, rescheduling a visit from the usual recurring schedule of cleanings can be a bit of work as David/Stefanie don't apparently build much wiggle-room into the calendar to allow for flexibility and occasionally-required rescheduling for their customers. Despite these 2 areas of concern, my overall experience with The Maids has been a positive one. Having to pay a bit more for the knowledge of a reliable/bonded/insured crew of employees is worth the additional cost to me (versus having to worry about legal status and overall staffing reliability with some other independant and/or lower-priced service providers) and having to work around the tight level of scheduling (occassionally resulting in an extended period between scheduled visits) from the 'home office' is typically manageable. A final note: At least one of the teams does consistently misspell my first name on the cards left at the home after the cleaning, but that is more amusing to me than annoying.

One thing I really like is that there is like a lime deposits in my toilet, it wasn't discolored but they were able to get that out, that I've been trying for years and nothing that I didn't like about them.

we initially contacted them and they performned a through cleaning on their first visit. Then we scheduled a bi-weekly cleaning thereafter. The ongoing cleaning is with a group of 4 cleaners. The biweekly cleaning is not as detailed as the first but seems adequate. Feels as though the service is a bit overpriced. We have since cut back to cleaning once every 4 weeks.

They usually bring in 4 people to clean your house. They come in and decide as to how long it would take for them to clean. They did a very good job cleaning the house, but I thought that they were too expensive. So, we actually stopped using their services. They had decided that they would take 70 minutes to clean my house when they came out the last time. They were here for only 50 minutes, but they charged me for the whole 70 minutes. So, I called the company and the person I spoke to said that he would look into it, but he never called me back. We really went out of our way to get things settled, but we were very disappointed that he never called us back. So, I canceled the service. I felt like they could have done a better job when they came out to clean my house in August. The maids were very good and courteous. They were punctual, as they were always on time.

The Maids came on time. They had the right tools and knew how to use them. The crew consisted of four nice people headed by team leader Maria. In this, the initial cleaning visit, they hustled in their work. All four cleaners worked with both vigor and efficiency. The outcome was a spotlessly clean and tidy house. We would characterize their work as excellent. The company guarantees satisfaction. That's not just a slogan. They guarantee satisfaction.

I am extremely satisfied with them. They are detail oriented and the same crew comes each time. They are punctual, friendly, and polite. I can call them one day and they will be here the next day if I need them. I recommend them.

The woman arrived on time and took about two hours to complete the work. She did an excellent job. She paid special attention to all the little nooks and crannies that are difficult to do and easy to miss. I would call them again anytime and would give them a good reference.

I have been using The Maids on a monthly basis for over a year. This is the longest I have used any cleaning service in the past. Their cleaning services have been very consistent and the team is very polite. The one time they did forget to clean something, they offered to come back and clean it (per the 100% guarantee) and they have paid special attention to that item ever since.

I wrote a report about this cleaning service before, when I first used them in December. The cleaners are great and the work is done well, and fast. I am going to stop using this company because I am having so many problems with the main office. Once I thought I had arranged with the manager for the Maids to come and no one arrived. Then I got back from a holiday to find 2 messages on my machine that the Maids had come to find nobody home (I wouldn't have scheduled any cleanings for while I was gone, I know this isn't my fault!!). After a talk with the manager we decided to try and keep the cost around $100 per visit, but the next visit the price actually went up. Today the cleaning staff came over an hour early, my daughter was still sleeping upstairs. Anyway, I am just sick of dealing with them. I'm pretty sure they are sick of me too. Good things about them (to be fair): they always call back, try to accommodate changes/cancellations, and the staff that come are very nice.

DAVE HAD TO COME OUT AND DO SOME WORK HIMSELF BECAUSE WE WERE NOT SATISFIED. VERY EXPENSIVE TOO AND WORKERS DID NOT SPEAK MUCH ENGLISH. THEY SAID 4-5 PEOPLE WOULD COME OUT AND THE MAX WAS 3. THEY ALSO DID NOT GIVE AN ESTIMATE BASED ON HOUSE SIZE BEFOREHAND.

THE INITIAL PHONE CALL WAS HANDLED IN A COURTEOUS MANNER AND I WAS GIVEN A DATE FOR CLEANING WITHIN A WEEK FROM MY PHONE CALL. THE CREW OF FOUR ARRIVED ON TIME AND WORKED QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY. THEIR WORK WAS THOROUGH AND DETAILED. IT WAS A PLEASURE TO COME HOME TO A CLEAN HOUSE! THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE HIRING A CLEANING SERVICE AND I AM VERY SATISFIED.

I LIKE WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. DAVID BOGENSCHULTZ, THE OWNER, SEEMS TO REALLY CARE ABOUT PROVIDING GOOD SERVICE. I HAVE HAD THEM OUT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, AND AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE. I HAVE THEM IN ON AN OCCASIONAL BASIS WHEN I HAVE COMPANY, ETC. IT ALWAYS FEELS GOOD TO COME HOME TO A REALLY CLEAN HOME. I AM FAIRLY PICKY ABOUT HOW PEOPLE CLEAN MY HOME, AND I HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. ANY SPECIAL REQUEST, LIKE VACUUMING MY WALK-IN CLOSETS, THEY PUT IN THEIR COMPUTER AND ARE GOOD ABOUT MAKING SURE IT IS DONE. OVERALL, IT HAS BEEN A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.

MY HOUSE IS TECHNICALLY OUTSIDE OF THE MAIDS NORMAL SERVICE AREA, IT'S A BUSY TIME OF YEAR FOR THEM AND I WAS ASKING THEM TO CLEAN THE BASEMENT, WHICH IS NOT THEIR NORMAL JOB. BUT DESPITE THIS DAVE, THE OWNER TOOK CARE TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY WITH THE JOB. THEY ARE NOT CHEAP, BUT DURING THE ESTIMATE HE FIGURED PRETTY CLOSELY HOW TO GET ALL THE WORK DONE WITHIN THE ALLOTTED TIME, SO I FELT I GOT THE FULL EXTENT OF SERVICE THAT I PAID FOR. THE CARPET-CLEANING MACHINE WAS NOT AVAILABLE THE FIRST TIME THEY CAME, SO HE MADE A SPECIAL TRIP THE NEXT MORNING IN ORDER TO GET THAT DONE, WITH NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.

I CALLED THEM ON TUESDAY, HOPING TO GET MY HOUSE CLEANED THAT WEEK. THEY WERE ABLE TO DO THE WORK ON THAT THURSDAY. THE PERSON I DEALT WITH OVER THE PHONE WAS VERY HELPFUL. AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED, THEY CALL TO SEE IF I WAS SATISFIED.

I FOUND SOMEONE ELSE ON ANGIE'S LIST WHO REPLIED TO MY EMAIL QUICKLY THEN CAME BY TO SET UP A PRELIMINARY APPOINTMENT RIGHT AWAY SO WE'LL LIKELY USE HER.
