They also buried the downspouts and put in water tile. They were pretty easy to work with as far as coming out and working on the design. They helped me visualize things. They were willing to work with changes in the design process.

My parents in Minnetonka have had a driveway plowing contract with Premier Lawn and Snow for several years. I have been able to observe the great job they do for the last five years. Last year, with the exceptionally high volume of snow the Premier team did an exceptionally good job, very often getting out of the truck and clearing area by the garage and space from driveway to front walk with a shovel.

The lawn mowing service was adequate. The snow removal, though usually prompt, led us to stop giving our business to this company. A number of times during the winter season the work was done so hastily and sloppily that we actually had to dig out our garage to be able to get to work because of the amount of snow piled right in front of the garage door. The plows also kept pushing snow towards our shed creating a large pile which we also kept having to dig through. The pile got so big we just had to give up the shed for the season. We also experienced significant damage to our lawn. We lost many square yards of lawn where the plows slid off the pavement and sheared into the soil. Now, these things can happen and mistakes are made, especially in the rush of the Minnesota plow season. But the final straw came about the fourth time I called the company to try and address these issues. During that last conversation the proprietor actually screamed at me over the phone and insulted me even though I was doing my best to move forward. (I really did want to work things out rather than having to find another provider.) But it didn't work out. It's one thing to do a sloppy job but to get defensive about it and insult your customer is no way to do business. We are going elsewhere.

PREMIER IS NOT AS EXPENSIVE AS SOME, BUT TYPICALLY DOES ITS WORK LATE, EG, THE END OF THE DAY AFTER THE PREVIOUS NIGHT'S SNOW FALL AND IS VERY CARELESS. THEY USE BOBCAT TYPE PLOWS AND HAVE DAMAGED MY LAWN AND EVEN SHRUBS EVERY SINGLE YEAR. THEY ARE WILLING TO FIX THE LAWN, BUT IT TAKES THE WHOLE SEASON TO GROW IT BACK AND LOOKS TERRIBLE. THEY ARE PARTICULARLY CARELESS ON THE SIDEWALK BY THE STREET BECAUSE THEY'RE PLOW IS SO LARGE. UNFORTUNATELY IT'S VERY HARD TO FIND COMPETITION FOR THIS WORK. MOST COMPANIES WANT YOUR LAWN BUSINESS TO DO YOUR SNOW REMOVAL. THE COST IS $80/MONTH FOR ME.
