We were very pleased with the service we received. I called to request an estimate and they said someone would be out within the next few days and would leave an estimate in the door if no one was home. Someone came within 2 days and the estimate he left was understandable and complete and included a good description of the work. I authorized the work via an email, followed up with a phone call to provide a credit card number. They came on a Saturday 2 days later, and again I was gone but the work was done and the yard was completely cleaned up. There was a slight misunderstanding about one portion of the work, which was understandable due to the fact we never did meet in person, but once they were notified they came back and corrected it quickly with no additional charge. A very professional organization. No pressure to do any additional work and they stuck to the estimate which was quoted. They followed up with a customer satisfaction survey in the mail and also mailed me a credit card receipt.

Great. Actually, they scheduled and completed the work earlier than first estimated.

I have had a good experience with them. They are trying to prevent the death of ash trees for us.

The work was done quickly and safely. They cleaned up everything - you would never know they had been there.

They came out and gave me a really good estimate on what they would be able to do, and their estimate price was well within the ball park estimate that we were looking for. I checked on them thoroughly and found that they had received A plus ratings through out the twin cities. I have not yet asked them to do the work, but I have asked them to come out and do some of the work for which they had bid almost a year ago. They will be getting back to me on that. The person who came out to give me the estimate gave me a lot of commentary on the trees in my yard. He showed up at the appointed time and the estimate was very detailed and thorough. He gave us a good price that was quite a bit less than some of the other services that we have enquired about. Their follow-up has been good and I have already heard from them twice after the estimate.

I was very pleased. The company was prompt in returning my initial inquiry, in coming to give estimate and in scheduling and performing the job. Their price was significantly less than 2 other estimates I received and I don't notice any lack of quality. They removed all rubbish. They also removed two small bushes and cut down a small tree at no extra charge.

They are very professional. They were timely and they were attentive. They answered our questions. They are a very good company to work with. I've used them for years. They have done a number of different projects for me. I am satisfied with their work and I would recommend them to other people.

I accepted their proposal February 23 but thanks to an intervening snowfall, the tree was not removed until March 13. S & S called the night before to arrange for payment, and to let me know they were coming the following day. When I got home that evening, the only sign that they had been on the premises was the missing tree. Both the house and the nearby shrub rose looked untouched. Good job!

The bid process was great. I was impressed with the knowledge and details of what they would do. But was disappointed with the actual work. Bushes were not trimmed as detailed in bid; they were very responsive when I called, and sent the crew back out the next day. The crew trimmed two thirds of the hedge as written in the bid, but left it looking completely unfinished. I did the rest myself.

S and S came out in a couple of days after I called and gave me an estimate for the removal of a large cottonwood near my home and near power lines. I received another estimate that was 50% higher than theirs so I returned the signed contract. They immediately called Gopher One to place the gas line since I requested removal of the trunk. When we next spoke, they said that they would need to schedule a time when they could get Xcel to lower power lines (they took care of contacting Xcel). On the morning of our appointment, they showed up to say that since it was raining they would have to reschedule. It was raining on our second appointment so they came out and took the tree down even though the power lines had not been dropped. The ground the trunk and cleaned up well and delivered several limbs and the huge trunk to the neighbor's yard.

It took awhile for them to come out because it was my first time using them. It took about a week for them to take a look at it and then another week for them to come out and get the job completed. They cleaned up the backyard and hauled the limbs away but I had to clean up a few branches that were left in the street.

They are excellent. They are top of the list. They are experts in everything regarding trees. Removal, trimming and planting. They do have a $250 dollar minimum charge. They removed all the debris and filled the hole with black dirt which is important for landscaping and the grade of your lawn.

They are very punctual, nice, and knowledgeable. One of the men who came was definitely the go-to guy in the state on trees. They were very tidy and clean when they trimmed our trees.

The arborist who came out was very informative. He gave us extensive knowledge on how hard last winter was on other Evergreens. He did let us know that they would come back. After we did what he told us to do the trees are looking better. He was very professional and had a great attention to detail. He even took the time to demonstrate how he was making his diagnosis. He went from tree to tree with us and it took about two hours.

They were punctual and professional. But the bid seemed unusually high for the amount of work that was expected. We decided to go with someone else.

What a great company. They came right out to give me an estimate and answer all of my questions. Once we decided to go with them a whole crew came out for the job. They were all friendly and looked extremely professional. Before we knew it the job was finished and our lawn had been all cleaned up. I would use this company again in a heartbeat. They deserve an Angie's List award.

This has to be done every three years. We originally had it done three years ago. S&S sent us a reminder and offered a discount for scheduling early. They wound up doing it while we were out of town, and just leaving the invoice in the door. It went fine; my one complaint is that I didn't know when I'd hear from them. I know they inject trees in spring and early summer, and when spring came and I didn't hear from them I was worried that they lost my contract or check or something. (They hadn't. They came in July.)

They were very professional. Quick, clean and they knew what they were doing.

They were the only company that could respond quickly. They did a great job! You couldn't even tell that they were there! They didn't damage any of the surrounding plants. They cleaned up after themselves, too. They might not have been the cheapest, but they were definitely worth it.

An arborist arrived a day after we contacted S & S and marked the items to be removed in ribbon, leaving an estimate and overview of the work to be performed for my mother to review. Upon signing and faxing the work order back to S & S, workers arrived approximately two days later. They very efficiently removed the trees, bush and stumps, even carrying an entire tree carefully over the car in the driveway, to the wood chipper. The yard was left very clean and undamaged. Because my mother is elderly and upsets easily, she was worried about debris being left in the yard, and it was a relief to hear her go on about how "good of a job" had been done.

They did a great job. They had to come in and do the stump removal as well. I would give them A's. They are very knowledgeable. I would recommend them and use them again. They do free estimates.

The initial phone call was disappointing, I was asked a bunch of questions about the trees, and then they said "someone will come out and leave a quote in your door." I said "no, I want to consult with someone, there are lot of specifics as what I want done, and I want recommendations." The person seemed very surprised and said "let me check the calendar." I had to wait four business days for someone to come out, but I was not in a rush. When they came out, they said the three trees that had been recommended for removal before were fine, and they never advocated removing trees. They than gave me a quote for $2866 to do the work. That priced seemed very high, so I got another highly rated company on the list to come out. They suggested a consultation right away, and sent someone out the next day! They thought two of the three threes should come out, and recommended clearing 6 spruce trees that landscapers had planted one a top of another, and were now too close to grow out properly. They also recommened removing another small birch that was a problem. So, they removed 9 trees, plus did all of other work S&S had recommended, and THEY WERE $1000 cheaper. I was extremely happy with the other company, and very dissatified that S&S would have charged me so much for less work. They lost a customer for good.

They were awesome! They were very punctual, and the workers were professional and so fast! Someone always called to verify appointments, and I was always able to get a hold of them when I needed to.

They are a pleasure to work with. Call the office to let them know what you need, and the local arborist looks over what needs to be done and leaves an estimate. If you like the estimate, call the office and fax in the proposal with a credit card number and then the work gets done, pronto. Thanks!
