They were professional. They're gonna be building a fence for me this spring.

We got five quotes in April and Midwest was the second cheapest. Our neighbor used them for a similar material fence and it looked nice. I was swayed to Midwest for the financing options. The good thing was that the installer crews were always very prompt, and arrived first thing in the morning- almost at 8 a.m. on the dot. We’re disappointed in the level of communication from Midwest. For a company that boasts of installing thousands of fences per year, they sure don’t have their system down. From between the salesperson to the scheduler to the finishing staff to billing, it seems none of them talk to one another. We told our salesperson our initial concerns. We questioned where our property line was. We were assured they would correctly locate it. There was a huge lack of communication in that. At completion, the fence looks fine. The crews worked quickly. We’re a bit of perfectionists and we were disappointed that they flew through some of the steps- building the gates with screws not spaced the same distances, stripping out screw heads, leaving glue residue, etc. Especially for the gates that cost a thousand bucks each and are built on site. The thing I am most disappointed in is that NO one has called me following completion to see how we are satisfied with it. This just seems like strange business practice because every other home improvement we have contracted out has them meeting with us to go over the final product and final out the job- siding, concrete, roof, etc. The only person who called me was a rude business person wanting the final payment. I said there are things we needed fixed and had called the finishing crew, which illicited a huffing sigh. They need to work on communication between staff and start to finish job progress tracking. It’s sad when the cable company has a better tracking record of who and when you talked to them about specific issues.

Great. They came on time.I was given a very clear payment options. I had an opportunity to change the colors of my fence and they accommodated it. They were very personable and very efficient in their work. overall they are a good people to work with.

It went great! Tony and Dale showed up in the time window I was told. Originally they were only coming to adjust the gate, but then I noticed one pole was heaving and the concrete was pushing above ground. Instead of making us wait to have that fixed, they took care of it right away. The guys were very personable and wanted to be sure we were pleased with everything, They were awesome!

They did a quality job.

We were told they would install 7-8 weeks from time of order, but ended up installing in about 4 weeks. We were pleasantly surprised!

All I can say is, exceptional work! I personally didn't talk to anyone at Midwest Fence as my husband was responsible for that but my husband said they were really great to work with. They arrived when they said they would and they cleaned up after themselves. If I didn't see the fence in our backyard, I wouldn't have even known they were there. They were able to do everything while we were at work which was a HUGE plus. We had a 6 foot cedar privacy fence put in and it exceeded my expectations. It is absolutely beautiful! I gave a B to the price because I never realized how expensive fences were but since we got multiple bids and they came around the same price, I would have to say their prices are fair. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to others!

Midwest Fence was great. I contacted three fence companies that were highly rated on Angie's list. One never responded. One gave me a quick quote over the phone sight/site unseen and said his guy would contact me. No subsequent contact. On the other hand, Midwest Fence's salesperson called me back the same day, He came out, looked at what we wanted, discussed options, and gave me a quote lower than the other. Since it was November, I was told work probably could not begin until spring. To our joy, the fence was installed during a warm spell in December. It looks great. The crews were professional and pleasant. Two weeks later when I called about an adjustment I needed, a crew appeared the next day and made the adjustment.

They certainly put in a good fence, and I have a lot of confidence in the quality of the work they did. I was surprised on how much collateral damage there was in the area around where they worked. The guy who came out and did the bid, Derek, he was excellent. They are subject to the weather so the schedule they originally intended was way off, originally should have been 7 weeks and ended up being 10 weeks due to the weather. I will mention what happened here was - the fence was here when we bought the house and we would replace things here and there. The fence is actually owned by the neighbors, but we had been sharing the costs along the common area and each of those had rotted posts. We had been trying to get someone to come out and do a repair was not easy. They did not want to do a replace, and the only way we could get anyone out was to say we are going to replace our fence, if you repair our neighbor's fence. The cost of $4400 was for our fence. We had it bid by a different provider and it was $6000, and that was not even a complete bid. The other provider was just going to shift where the posts would be, and Midwest took out  the footers completely. The quality of the finished product was great. They did what they could given the weather regarding their punctuality. They talked about what area they needed cleared around the fence, but then they needed more area than that to stomp on. We would probably go with another provider based on referral from another person, but we would consider using them again.

Excellent - according to plan and timeline.

They are very busy and the weather didn't help so we had to wait longer than we hoped. We were flexible so it wasn't a problem. The first crew arrived, removed the old fence and then installed new posts. A week later the installers arrived and finished the work. Everything was as ordered. The crew was friendly and seemed to take care around the property. The new fence looks great. I have used them before and will use them again.

Overall, I'm very satisfied. The crews were kind, prompt, communicated with me well, and left my yard in order when they left. The fence is beautiful and the quality is great. I couldn't be happier with the end product. I liked the option of their SmartPay deal which gives you a 5% discount if you pay at the time that you book the job. Paying in advance is risky but saving the extra money was worth it for me. The only reason I gave a couple of B ratings is primarily due to communication issues. 1 - The company doing the removal of my existing fence was contracted by Midwest and failed to call me to set-up a time to come remove my fence. I got a call a few minutes before saying they were on their way. I wish I would have had a little more notice but we worked it out in the end. 2- I know that due to weather it's hard to notify me of the post install (homeowner is required to be home for this part) very far out but 2 days is a little short. I have to request vacation at work and my boss wasn't too keen on the somewhat last minute ask for time off. 3 - The section of chain link that was removed and was not going to be replaced was supposed to be altered to connect to another section of fence. That finishing step was never completed. I've reached out to my sales person, who was great, and hopefully it will be fixed soon. Again, overall I'm very happy with the end product and enjoy spending time in the yard so much more now!

This crew did a fantastic job from start to finish. The salesman we worked with was very informative and walked us through every detail ensuring that we had all of the knowledge needed to make the right decision for us. He even came out an additional time to walk the property lines with me after the survey was done so I knew exactly what work I needed to do prior to the crew coming out, so that there were no delays in the work. The crew removing the old fence and installing the posts were very friendly and respectful of us and our property. We have infants in the house and they made sure that the noise levels were kept low during nap time and did the loudest work when they were awake. They kept us informed very step of the way and made sure to ask any necessary questions that required a decision before moving forward with any work. The crew (or single guy) doing the finishing work was fantastic. I'm completely impressed with how quickly he moved forward with installing all of the panels and fabricating the gates on site, all by himself. I can't recommend this company enough.

Thanks for a great shopping experience. We have been holding off on getting a fence for years. We're glad we did. We love the privacy that we now have. We're going to have another fence put in on another lot that we own. Thank you Midwest Fence!

This review is written two years after installation. We chose Midwest Fence after looking at other products in our neighborhood and deciding these were the nicest-looking fences. We received a good estimate, and a crew came out on two days to plant the fence posts in cement and then string the chain link. This was right before Winter set in. Six months later in Spring, my wife was previewing the yard and found some cracks in one of the cement footings. I told her it was normal settling, but she called Midwest Fence anyway, and they sent Rob over to inspect. Rob not only had the surface repaired, but also noticed a couple other things he didn't think were up to par, which were not even on our radar, and he had his crew fix them. Just recently, 27 months since purchasing the fence, I found one of the gates sagging and could not figure out how to fix it on my own. I called Midwest to request a service call: Rob came out and adjusted the gate back to spec for free under warranty. I have had many other projects done on my home by other contractors, some more expensive, but the one project that gives me that "pride of ownership" feeling every single time is this great-looking Midwest Fence. The fact that they back it up so well with quality service after the fact makes this Highly Recommended.

I would use them in the future.

Everyone was friendly and professional from the sales rep to the fence installation crew. Calls were returned in a timely manner and expectations were clearly stated.
