The work was done quickly and done well. The area was cleaned pretty well for the most part - but some nails have been found here and there. Overall very satisfied.

It couldn’t have gone better! The crew came tore off the old roof. After they got the old roof off a storm front came through. These guys were up on the roof with a giant tarp strapping it down makin it water tight and I never had a single leak. It’s a pity that it’s a flat roof because it’s truly a work of art and no one else can see it. I’m exceptionally pleased that they have offered to come back in the spring to make sure that everything is still OK. I only have one roof , but if I had another I wouldn’t think twice about hiring them again. They were easy to work with and really know their business.

J&B Roofing was very responsive and professional when I contacted them about making some minor repairs to my roof in Saint Paul. We had some loose and folded over shingles that needed to be repaired ASAP for a sale. They did a great job on the repair for a great price! Somehow, they were even able to use the existing shingles on the roof. You can't even tell there was ever a problem up there. We will definitely contact them again for roofing repairs.

The crew came out in cold windy weather, and got my roof done, as I needed it done ASAP. Job well done in a timely manner. They cleaned up the yard after they finished. I have recommended J&B roofing several times.

I had a large branch from an oak tree fall over my house during a wind storm. I had my insurance company out for an inspection and was told I would need a new roof. J&B Roofing did a wonderful job with my new roof and wood repairs from the branch damage. Due to rumors about insurance abuse and fraud I felt the need to handle my claim on my own and Hilda from J&B Roofing was respectful of my decision. I am happy with the service and material I received, thank you!

This is the second time we hired J & B Roofing to work on our house. We had 35 year old deteriorated Masonite lap siding. The old siding was removed, a layer of insulation was installed, along with Tyvek House Wrap under the new siding. J & B Roofing supplied many color samples for us to select from. Our house has brick on the lower 1/3 of the front. We had J & B Roofing install vinyl siding that has the appearance of hand split shakes above the bricks to the soffit. We installed vinyl dutch lap siding on the sides and back of the house. The gable ends of the house & garage had the dutch lap installed at the same angle as the roof line. Ever challenge we presented to J & B Roofing was met with the response, "WE CAN DO IT". When the job was completed, once again the entire area was cleaned up of all debris. Whenever we need any repairs, they will be our first call to see if what we need done, they are able to do. We are very satisfied with them and highly recommend their services.

J & B Roofing did an excellent job from start to finish. All of the employees were very conscious and knowledgeable about the products used, and the installation process. They went above and beyond our requirements for the job. The plumbing & heating vents were painted to match the roof color. The entire job site was thoroughly cleaned up, and all trash removed.

Had my roof replaced in April 2017, I thought it went fine until a week after the roof was completed I had 2 bats in my home. (In January 2011 had an ice dam on roof, no sign of bats or droppings. In October 2011 had insulation blown in, no sign of bats or droppings.) I called pest control spent $127.18, he took pictures of the roof, one shingle sticking up in the air was not nailed down completely, he had questions regarding 2 areas as possible openings. Called J&B and told her about the shingle and then about the bats. She became very defensive right away and said they would check the roof. Over 2 weeks went by, nothing no word. I called 3 times and my daughter called to ask if we could have the manufacturer and code #/name at least, for the shingles if we ever needed to replace. Never any response. In 2015 I had deicer cables installed to prevent future ice damage, paid $485. This winter my deicer was not working, called my electrician and he said the cables were a complete mess, no rick-rack pattern left at all and the electric connection was broken at a couple of places, so another expense out of my pocket for repairs J&B left me with. I thought very highly of Hilda when I first met her, but this whole thing was a nightmare. Beware of sending this group to anyone looking for a reputable roofing contractor, because this group takes the money and leaves any mess they may have caused. Will not respond to calls for assistance. Irresponsible, can’t be trusted and only in the business for the money!

I had a great experience with J&B Roofing. I hired this company because pricing was within my expectation and I was under scheduling pressure due to a leak around my chimney. I received a called from Hilda to confirm them starting the work the following morning, the installers seemed knowledgeable at their work and were focused on what needed to be completed. Due to the loud noise and activity I remained indoors during my 1 day project, at the end I received pictures of the installation. I am pleased with the work I hired for, now I hope my interior drywall project goes as smooth.

They were friendly and gave me a very fair price for my roof. They also installed some bath and kitchen vents for me at the same time, one of which probably turned into a little more than they were expecting. They were quick and efficient and did a nice job on the roof. We had talked about doing my gutters also but I never received an estimate for that work after asking a couple times so I was pretty surprised when they demo'd my gutters during the roof work! I am a reasonable guy and wanted the gutters replaced so I did not make a big deal about the estimate issue. They completed the gutters a couple days later. The install was also good but there were a couple minor installation issues. Hilda came out and said they would take care of it no problem. In removing the old gutters there were lots of ugly holes and marks on the fascia wraps (to be expected and not their fault) so I requested they rewrap the fascia when they came back (for additional money of course). I agreed to wait until the end of the season as it wasn't a super high priority project and they were busy. Also during this time I was trying to get my final invoice for the roof to turn into my insurance (long story there but I had received an insurance claim going on my own). I called and emailed probably 10 times and still to this day have not received my invoice. I was able to put together their estimate and cancelled check to at least be able to submit for reimbursement from my insurance. I have called several times to get an update if they are coming back to do the minor fixes and complete the other work I've requested. I can't quite figure out what's going on with this company. They were great to work with but have since fallen off the face of the earth returning calls, but are still updating their facebook?! At this point I've exhausted my options trying to get them to finish the gutters and get paid! Not feeling so great about my 10 year roof warranty either. If they would return my calls and level with me about what's going on I would likely rehire them but I can't currently recommend them unfortunately.

Excellent. It was more than the estimate due to flaws in the substrate underneath the old shingles. However, they told us immediately what they needed to do, showed us what was wrong, and gave a very competitive price for correcting it.

Fantastic experience. Workers arrived at 7:30 AM and finished up at 9:30 PM. They were very courteous and respectful. They arrived when they said and completed the job in one day.

Hilda said they could be at my house within an hour and they were. They quickly discovered it was not a roofing/siding issue as before but an issue with the furnace exhaust pipe. They could have very easily got off the roof, told us the problem was not theirs, and left but they didn't. They took time out of their day, went to Home Depot, purchased the new part I needed, and installed it. If you are looking for roofing/siding repair you would be foolish not to hire J&B. They are great at what they do and they are great people, we are lucky we found them!!!

It is always a plus to have the owners of the company doing the work onsite when the work is actually being done. They did everything like they were working on their own house. We could not be more pleased with how everything turned out.

We started calling companies for estimates, and Hilda was able to come out within a few hours (other companies weren't able to make an estimate visit for a couple weeks). Hilda is an impressive salesperson, and a good educator--she explained exactly what they were going to do to solve our problem and the materials they would use, and clearly answered our questions. Because there were already two layers of shingles on most of the house, they needed to removed all the shingles, replace several boards and all the flashing, and put on new architectural shingles. Due to the emergency nature of the project, they were able to start the job within a few days, and using 8 roofers completed it in one day. In addition to the roof they made a couple adjustments to our gutters to improve flow. They quickly carried debris to the roll-off box and cleaned the yard several times with a sweeper--the roll-off box with all the debris was gone the next day.

We got 3 estimates from firms reviewed by Angie's List. Although J & B was low bidder, that's not why we hired them. We were impressed by the way Hilda worked with us in planning the job. And we think it is no surprise they had the low bid. They are roofers themselves, as opposed to middlemen who take a profit for themselves and then go hire real roofers. On work day, the crew started early and worked hard with only short interruptions, on site for about 13 hours. Finished and did a thorough cleanup in one day. B for responsiveness relates to occasional slow return of a call. But they helped us through a lot of questions about details of the project.

Everything about this job was top notch.  From the time we accepted the bid until the time work started was only 3 days.  The crew showed up exactly as promised.  The job was done very quickly and the total was as estimated.  The team was very efficient.  The whole job took a day and a half.  Our yard was left very clean.  We didn't find one nail or scrap of roof anywhere.  That was very nice because we have several kids playing in the yard daily.  J & B Roofing is a very honest and responsible company and we would work with them again. 

WORK DONE TO MY HOUSE WENT VERY WELL, EVEN THE WEATHER COOPERATED IN OUR REMODEL.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND J&B ROOFING. MANY MONTHS LATER WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIAL USED IS LOOKING AND HOLDING UP GREAT.

Amazing! I was on Angie's list for days reading the reviews before I selected a roofing company. I contacted two other companies before J&B (which was dumb!). One company was a constant no show from the beginning, the other gave me a bid then never called or showed for 5 appointments!!!! J&B came out right away and gave me a fair quote. They came out today and crushed it. They took down part of the siding and roof that was causing the problem. They took photos and showed me all of the short cuts the company who installed the siding 4 years ago took including not wrapping the house!! Needless to say J&B did it right and I am so happy with the service.

Hilda is great to work with and Hector is a machine up on the roof, does beautiful work. Don't waist time looking for another roofing company, call J&B!!!!!
