Caveat emptor! — Let the buyer beware! These seem to be nice folks but it is clear that they don’t quite seem to know what they’re doing and they do not communicate well. They gave me a written estimate and I expected the project to take a couple of days but after multiple unexplained delays and no-shows on the part of their working crews, it took two weeks for them to finish up their work. In the process, they did significant damage to some woodwork and to heating registers in my house. The final bill came to 228% of the written estimate. You would do well to consider the possibility that they use a bait-and-switch strategy. If you are going to hire these people—and why in the world would you?—pin them down at the beginning and insist they provide you with a detailed and itemized list of what they are going to move and EXACTLY how much it is going to cost. And under no circumstances hire their cleaning service. Just don’t! And they talk about re-selling some of your stuff at their brick-and-mortar and/or on-line store but don’t count on that either. And if you need to contact them, good luck. Phone calls and messages were often not returned and, after several specific requests, it still took them 2 weeks to get me a copy of my contract. They did finally get the work done but only after significant delays and damage and an astonishing up-charge from the original estimate. I would not consider hiring them again under any circumstances of which I can conceive.

I had hired Sort Toss Pack for a simple apartment move from one building to another within the same complex. They had come out very quickly to give me a quote and set up the move, which was wonderful! They asked for a deposit for the entire amount, and then some (about $350 more than what was agreed upon) which I found a bit baffling, but I went along with it. Then it went downhill from there. As it was getting closer to the move date, I didn’t hear from anyone to confirm so I reached out to them to verify we were still on. On the bright side – the movers and unpacker were great, and the owner even helped move / put up my TV in the new apt, which I appreciated. I would say my biggest frustration / complaint was the lack of communication. They kept saying “well, we’re SO busy and have so much to do, we’re sorry we’re not getting back to you.” If they can communicate with new customers to bring in new business, then they can ensure their “closing” customers are satisfied at the end of service. A month after the move, I said I would report them to the BBB and the National Move Manger Association if they didn’t respond to me and refund my money. Lo and behold – they responded the same day, and my money was refunded 2 days later. I wouldn’t use Sort Toss Pack again. I think because they have new owners and want to say “yes” to as many new customers as they can, they don’t turn down business when they should. It’s difficult being a small business owner post-covid times trying to regain traction, and they are short staffed, which makes it more difficult. I feel for them, but their customer service and professionalism were lacking.

I had to deal with an uncluttering situation with a family member. Unbelievably wonderful crew. Tackled a REALLY tough job and saw it through to the end. The landlady of the apartment was very pleased at the job that was done. If they can do this well with a difficult job they are absolutely the ones you should hire if you are facing a normal downsizing situation. Real pros. Lovely to work with.

I actually met the owner, and she came out to give an estimate. She was personable, professional, and on time. They took away stuff that we didn't want. The quality was fine.

I was contacted by Sort Toss Pack quickly after my email and they responded to all my questions before my service date.

I may have misheard but I thought there would be two people out, but only one came.

We did do quite a bit - we started with the primary area and did a secondary area and that was it. With two we may have been able to do the whole place. For example, no closets, no kitchen, no bathrooms, only living room and most of the bedroom. We did move lots of furniture and I did not have to purchase much. They do have a resale store so that is helpful, but I did not have anything to send to the store, nor purchase anything.

Over all the folks are very professional and respectful and I have recommended them to others.

At first, one lady, P, was scheduled for 4 hours on the Saturday and Sunday following our initial meeting. Closer to that date, we were informed that a second lady, C, would be helping P, AT NO CHARGE!! Evidently she was in training. Both ladies were amazing. They came in, dug right in and did just what the company name says. Sorted, Tossed and Packed!! After 8 hours, our workshop and hallway was immaculate! We made many trips to the local Savers and also had quite an impressive amount of and quot;thingsand quot; that needed to be thrown away. The ladies were very thorough, conscientious, and professional in every aspect of their work. They had very good ideas about the disposition of articles and guided us throughout the entire process. Parting with some belongings can be very unsettling and these ladies made it much easier. We, honestly, can't say enough good things about these people! They have a wonderful service and we have no doubt but what we will be using their services again in our endeavor to become clutter-free!! We would highly recommend this company to anyone!!!

I worked with one person most of the time,L. . She came to my home and helped me sort items, donate, and get rid of things.

She tended to over schedule herself,was at times late or unable to show up. This was frustrating. When she was here, her work was very good.

I had a few concerns related to an overcharge, and a loss of a basket lid. After hearing from Jodi, I know I will be reimbursed for the overcharge, and I hope to get my wooden lid for my basket returned.

I realize the work ended several months ago, and I did not pursue my concerns at that time, other than texts to the person who had been helping me. I had health and other issues going on (hence, the need for services of this nature), and would likely not have reviewed this business but for the seemingly endless e-mails from Angie's List.

I bear the responsibility for dropping the ball, but I was having significant difficulties at the time. Had I not been deterred by only contacting the person I dealt with the most, I would likely have had very quick satisfaction of my concerns.

Hence, I would give this a B overall, as the quickness and moving of all items was handled expeditiously, Jodi was very professional, quick to contact me with my concerns (once she was made aware of them), and very pleasant to deal with.

This was an overwhelming problem for me on where to start sorting out things from my past. I had collections,furniture and memorabilia from years past, in my garage and tiny townhome.
The two gals that came to help me were knowledgeable,supportive and compassionate. I worked along side of them going through many things that I had some difficulty making decisions on. They had many ideas and suggestions for me on what and where I could donate or sell some of my things.
I am so pleased that I made the right decision in hiring this group of folks. They took what they could sell, and I already have a and quot;firstand quot; check. I don't have to worry about anything, as they take care of everything.
I will hire this company again, when the time is right. It is a perfect service for people who need to organize and have a hard time with that process.

They were on time and worked very hard to get it all done in one day. Very professional and easy to work with. They were reasonably priced.
