Xpand, Inc.

The Xpand team was, for the most part, very professional and pleasant.  The quality of the workmanship - especially the kitchen cabinets - was exceptional.  There were some timing issues - some on our end (as we had to deal with issues relating to a previous contractor) and some on their end (they didn't start for 3 months after our loan was approved).  It made for a very long project but we both hung in there during the delays that were attributable to the other party.  Xpand was very willing to work with us to get us what we wanted in layout, colors, etc.  We were surprised when the final bill came in but some of that was due to our not asking for specific costs for changes along the way.  We definitely would NOT use their flooring contractor (Floors to Go) again as there were SEVERAL issues with them!

All in all, I would recommend them.

It went great. Employees were very professional and helpful. Contractor even help provide feedback on new home issues he noticed.

I had just moved into a new (old) house and there were a number of items throughout the house that needed work done. I had used Xpand in my previous house years ago and so called them again since I had been very pleased with that work.
The original ask was for:
1. Tub replacement and shower install in hall bathroom. Replace toilet.
2. New exterior door cut into garage wall to the outside - cat door installed in door
3. New sink and faucet in kitchen
Through emails I asked to add the replacement of 2 exterior doors, I would obtain and paint the doors before installation.
Jess was very willing to modify the original order and work within my time schedule. There was one issue with a sub-contractor who, while very competent and good, could not make it for the 2nd day of work due to snow. He was re-scheduled for the next week but then did not show and did not call to tell anyone he wasn't coming. Jess was very apologetic and had 2 men out the next day to complete the work. There were still a few small items remaining but they were completed the next morning.
I am very happy with the completed work and Jess even gave me a break and did not charge for some of the misc items I had added on to compensate me for the schedule issues.
I will definitely be hiring them again.

I liked the price and the quality of the work.

The final product was good, with the exception of the kitchen floor. They replaced tile with new porcelain tile. They didn't seal the sub-floor before pouring concrete leveler and it seeped through into the ceiling in the basement and poured all over my stuff in the unfinished utility room in the basement, ruining some items. They did replace one piece of luggage. The leveler wasn't level, so the tiles weren't level either. They worked on this several times to try to get the tiles level, re-grouting each time. The final product was many tiles still not level and mismatched grout colors.

We had good experience overall with the owner, but some of the workers were unqualified for finishing work that needed to be done.

The garage turned out very good. The kitchen looks good, and we have learned to overlook the floor issues.

They did a really great job. They were expeditious, clean and timely. They definitely delivered the product that they promised. I would refer them to others.

Jess and his team were great they built my deck approximately 2 years ago and I could not be more pleased. I am just now filing this report because I recently became an Angie's List member and wanted to get the word out about the quality of work that Xpand does. Anybody thinking of working with Xpand should look no further, the team that built my deck was punctual, professional and friendly. They cleaned up and did not charge extra to haul the excess dirt away. My deck is the envy of the neighborhood!

They did just a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend them to others. We showed them some photos of our desired porch and they put in the new one similar to the photos.

Excellent. Troy was able and willing to work with homeowners who had planned to do it themselves but then decided they did not have the time. He was able to use our existing plans and suggest changes where needed. He was very patient when selections were not done in a timely manner and made excellent suggestions when we were not sure what we wanted. He saved us approx $1,500 on the bathroom tile by calling and confirming the selection before placing the order. I had mis-read the price of one of the accent tiles when I made the selection. His confirmation allowed us to change that selection to a more affordable tile. His workers and sub-contractors were extremely efficient and polite. Everyday the work site was cleaned and picked up. We never had any issues with work habits or personnel. The few times we felt something had been done incorrectly, they were quick and happy to change/correct the issue. This was by far the best experience we have had with a contract firm since we have been in the house. We have had numerous kitchen, roofing, siding, and landscape projects over the years and this is the first time I do not have even one complaint.

Troy is responsible, smart, fair, honest, and punctual. Everything you might have worried about in a contractor, he is not. He is everything you could hope for. Very honest and does great work.
