Trenk is amazing at problem solving and is especially adept at doing so in old old housing where nothing was done the way it would be in new plumbing. We called him to say the sewer rooter guy found breaks in the pipes and that we couldn't use any drains until it got fixed because the sewer water would back up. We gave him a copy of the camera pictures/DVD that the sewer guy had taken. Trenk figured out where the breaks were (not so easy if you think about it!), did the repair with no damage to the basement bathroom (which saved us lots of money as going through the bathroom floor would have also meant ripping out a shower) and figured out why the problem had happened. He also was able to diagram the drain sewer pipers which are a maze under the house and actually go out toward the back and not toward the front of the house. Trenk comes quickly, fixes stuff, and reasonably priced. He is smart, funny and personable.

at 2am I noticed our house sounded quiet, went downstairs and discovered
our sump pump had stopped working and we were about 5 inches from over
flowing. My husband started bailing water and I went onto Angie's list
and found Trenk with an A rating and emergency service. He answered on
the 2nd ring and lives 10.8 miles from our house and was here with in 20
minutes. I described the fitting incorrectly but he was still prepared
and with in 60 minutes from me looking at Angie's list Trenk was here,
fixed the sump and was out the door. He was punctual, offered a fair
price, professional and prepared. We would certainly recommend him to
our friends and use him again. He saved our basement from flooding.

My schedule was on again and off again for several months, but when I finally, really, needed it done, he fit me in, and was there in good time. Trenk was professional, and efficient, as well as friendly.

Trenk Ebbighauen was selected because he was highly recommended on a neighborhood e-list as well as on Angie's list. He is a master plumber and has experience with old houses and old plumbing. We wanted someone competent, pleasant to work with, honest, reasonably priced and reliable. Trenk is all of those. He responded to my call within a few moments. We were having assorted plumbing issues at a rental house we own in which my son and daughter in law and family live When I described the water heater problem, he suggested we ascertain if the heater was under warranty because we could save money and he was not sure if he worked on it (rather than someone directly from the company) we would be reimbursed. So that inquiry showed he was considerate of our money, not trying to get the work if it would cost us more. We nevertheless wanted ONE master plumber to deal with all of the issues in our older house, knowing that we'd have more problems in the future due to the age of the house and jerry rigged plumbing system installed over the last 100 years. We wanted someone who could put all of the pieces of the puzzle together. We set a convenient time to come and then he was able to move the time up by several days at the request of the tenants/family members who live in that house. He was running a few minutes late and called to let us know. He was thorough: the problem with the heater was a minor one and he solved it and explained to my son how to check the issue later to ensure it was solved. He tested and diagnosed the leaks and lack of pressure at two faucets and replaced cartridges. He was there for about two hours and we were billed 2 hours plus a half hour trip charge at $125 per hour and the modest cost of materials ($62). He was thorough, explained the problems, fixed the problems and we are extremely happy with the diagnoses and solutions.

Trenk came out early in the morning after my basement flooded and hooked up a battery to my sump pump (he loaned me the battery) and disconnected and pulled out the bathroom fixtures. He later installed the back-up sump pump and reinstalled the bathroom fixtures.

Trenk has done work for me for over 10 years and is a true pro. He has great intellect and thinks about a project beyond just the literal job that needs to be done.

Prompt, courteous, clear, helpful. Before scheduling the first visit, he asked me to send him photos of the faucet handles so he could see the problem and identify the parts needed -- how efficient. The second visit he cleared up the problem and installed shut-off valves for the tub -- clean work, total cleanup after. Plus, the faucets don't leak now! I'll be calling him again and again.

Trenk Mechanical LLC 11086 Chaparral Avenue Jackson Twp, MN 55379-9209 Trenk: 612-281-4720 Office 612-247-6915 Fax 952-233-0373 Trenk (his first name) usually answers his cell phone and promptly returns calls. Showed up on time, calling just before he arrived (both visits). Very skilled and professional. He had to make an access opening in the wall of a finished bedroom in order to replace one of the faucets outside--did a very nice job and was very careful about not making a mess. 2nd visit was scheduled out 5 weeks or so because of our schedule, and he showed up exactly as planned. Very likeable, trustworthy guy. We didn't check out other plumbers pricing, so we don't really know how his rates compare, but he was worth the price we paid and we'd hire him again in a heartbeat. He's first on our list now of who to call when we need a plumber.

We have used Trenk Mechanical for several projects now. We have had the following installation work done by Trenk; new kitchen sink and faucet , new water heater, new shower and new faucets in the bathrooms. Without exception, Trenk always answers his phone or returns calls promptly. He arrives for the job when promised. The quality of his work is excellent and he is always a pleasure to see because of his genuine friendly attitude. We have developed a real trust with Trenk and his work. We wouldn't think of calling anyone else.

I received a flyer in my news box from someone in my neighborhood who wanted to let neighbors know about a good plumber she found. She was especially pleased that this plumber actually returned phone calls. Anyway, the timing was great because we were having our basement bathroom refinished. Trenk returned my call too. We set up a date for him to install and he was right on time. Trenk is conscious of the environment and educated me on toxicity of certain materials and what kinds of things are harmful to pipes etc. I am having Trenk install our basement toilet when it comes in and he will also replace a bathroom faucet. When our kitchen remodeling takes place in another month or so, I am going to have him hook up the new sink and faucet. In 13 years of living in this house, I have only called a plumber twice. I will have Trenk out here 3 times in as many months. He seems very trustworthy and knowledgeable so I am glad I got that flyer.
