BUDGET PAVING A

Original estimate was $1500 over the phone for 10 by 20 space and work could be done on Saturday. Once they came out to write up work order and contract, we agreed that this was not enough space and would require 12 x 30 space (price increased by $500 due to gravel and additional space). Day of work was moved to Tuesday. Tuesday, I got a call that they couldn't come until Wednesday. On Wednesday, came as promised and started work. Cut out a space smaller than the one agreed upon and told us that this was the amount of additional driveway we had asked for and again told us it wasn't enough - to get a 12 x 40 space would require $800 more. We didn't measure the space they cut out, trusted the company. On Thursday, after work was complete I measured and we only had a 10 1/2 x 32 space. Called company and told them that we wanted the space we had paid them for. They came back on Thursday afternoon and laid new asphalt on top of grass! Had overhang from what they laid the second time and where it was from the first time. Water would now pool into the side of our house. They did give us $400 back for not laying enough asphalt the first time. On Friday, I called them again and demanded that they fix their work. They argued until I threated a lawsuit. Gave them until Monday to take out what was laid on top of our grass, dig it out correctly, and replace without overhang. On Saturday morning, they came back with workers to tear out what they had put down the second time, cut out the grass and lay new asphalt. Work was finally completed to our satisfaction, however I wouldn't recommend this company due to the problems we had. They were not honest and tried to get more money by deceiving us. Had many excuses on why it wasn't done correctly. Beware of this company.
