Great guy! Very very competent and thorough in his inspection. I would recommend him without reservation.

"Thank you Jeff for your review! There is not much that I enjoy as much as the puzzle of a house and meeting the people buying them. All the best to you both in your new adventure!"

Not well, not well at all. Absolutely the worst report I have ever read. Not only that he failed to mention anything about a damaged kitchen ceiling, a rotted trim board outside & a missing down spout. It was not my choice to hire him, I would avoid him at all cost. His inspections are incomplete. I confronted him about his poor inspection & the response I got from him was "Interesting opinions. I stand by my report, what I have done and written based on 30 years experience and over 15000 home inspections learning what the typical client needs and how to say what they need to hear. " Kinda scary to think he inspects the way he does & only lets the clients know what he thinks they need to hear.

"For the sake of full disclosure, I was not actually hired by this member but rather by the Trust Fund Managers handling his financial consideration in the house he is purchasing-the one's who told him that he had to have an independent third party home inspection. What this member hasn't told you is that he has recently completed some home inspector training, congratulations on that, and is now a direct competitor of mine. In addition to being a part time inspector, this member also does some remodeling. I wonder if I inspected some of his work which may have given him further cause to be angry? I wonder if I have inspected a home he is selling? It is the sad reality with these reviews that someone can attempt to trash your reputation without disclosing their own personal interest in doing so. I would like to post my own review advising all vendors to steer clear of dealing with customers like this or you may find yourself trolled endlessly for no reason other than resentment and jealousy. As a customer, I give this member's Trust Fund Management team an A rating. But I give this member an F rating for honesty and integrity."

Mike showed up on time.  He is very knowledgable about the construction of houses.  Before he started the inspection he noticed the windows and speculated 'there will probably 5 windows with broken seals' and that was exactly what we found during the inspection.  I recommend Mike to everyone who needs an inspector because he is very easy to talk to, he clearly knows what he is talking about but most importantly he talks his way through the entire inspection while you follow along.  Everything that he see's, good or bad, he tells you about which makes for an unparalleled education about the house you are about to purchase.  Once he is finished he compiles a report of all the facts about the home including photos.

It appears that judging my experience and people who reviewed for the service on 5/31/12 that this inspection service has quite the unsavory reputation. In an effort to fully disclose, in my situation I am the seller, and our buyers had requested to to an inspection, obviously we agreed, knowing that our home is in great condition and also knowing the results of our own home inspection when we purchased nearly two years ago, in fact we have had professionals make improvements, our issues do not arise from the results of the inspection. It is with the lack of professionalism, boundaries, and absolute disregard for personal privacy that I write this review. The issues are as follows:
* In one of my guest bedrooms the mattress was knocked off its frame and was literally on the floor.* My file cabinet in that room was open (and files out of order, someone had obviously been in it) * My nightstand had been gone through. * Shower curtains moved-and in complete disarray and my one white shower curtain has dirt stains on it from a hand. (It is from Anthropologie- its expensive!!) * Every blind and curtain out of order, towels knocked off towel bars and on the floor. * The main floor half bath not only had the lid and seat up on the toilet.. there was URINE on the toilet and the floor complete with a nice body hair from the nether regions.
I like things in their place in my home, and I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with what happened during this inspection.
As a seller how can you know that personal things aren't going to be taken or damaged? As a buyer how do you have any leg to stand on if you want to negotiate for repairs or negotiate for price reduction? How can you trust the work done when they can't een manage to pee in the toilet correctly! The answer: You can't! Do not hire under any circumstances!!
Response from Weber Home Inspection Services
"There were five people present in the house during the home inspection, all who are willing to state and declare that the house was left in pristine condition. We can offer references which is more than the seller of this house can offer. We have inspected over 9000 houses in our career. It should be noted that the only truly negative reports are from the sellers of the homes who did not hire us and who are selling at substantially reduced prices. But such is the world we live in where someone who is upset with the conditions of their own life can go to a public forum to malign and impugn the character of an established and upstanding community business with no proof other than their own unsubstantiated word. It is sad indeed that people are having to sell at substantial losses in the current market and are looking for an easy target with which focus their frustrations. What we are finding is that home sellers are increasingly antagonistic over their plight. And we are also finding that they are increasingly ambivalent in the sale of their homes. Our reputation remains stellar, especially among the buyers of the homes that we inspect. We continue to treat each home, and seller, regardless of their behavior and personal problems with respect and dignity. We will continue to provide the thorough and complete inspections to the purchasers of homes and see to their interests regardless of how upset and unhappy it makes the sellers of those homes. The performance of our duties, that is in representing the buyer of a house, is not influenced by our popularity among the sellers of those homes. Thank you again"
