YorWay Custom Home Builder would like to post a response to the Farmington Flyer review. It is very disheartening to receive a bad review, particularly when we are so passionate about the quality of our workmanship. Because of this, we needed to respond to the false claims in the review. These clients, from the very beginning of construction, did not follow the construction contract. They refused to work with many of our regular subcontractors. They made excessive changes and then refused to sign change orders for the additional work they requested. Ultimately, we were forced to stop construction because the clients refused to pay for the changes they demanded, most of which had already been built. Yorway did file a lien on the property, which has developed into a lawsuit for payment. In the lawsuit, one client has already testified under oath in a deposition that she was satisfied with Yorway’s activities until the stop of construction. The deposition testimony also disclosed that these clients have a history of non-payment, reflected in a previous bankruptcy and at least one other past judgment against them. Yorway believes the clients’ allegations of construct defects are opportunistic, defamatory and false. Yorway was hired to rebuild this home after a fire destroyed much of the previous home. Instead of demolishing the support structure and foundation, the clients decided to use the existing main floor (including the subfloor) to construct the new home. All construction by Yorway was to code and inspected by the city. Instead of paying for the custom home and upgrades implemented by Yorway, the clients, elected to stop payment in order to negotiate a discount. Yorway fully intends to sue these clients for posting defamatory reviews. But in the meantime, Yorway wanted to at least present facts to explain why the review is not an accurate representation of the high quality of workmanship Yorway delivered to its customers throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

The Worst Experisnce ever... We are currently Feb 2017, in litigation with Yorway Custom Home Builders over Shoddy Construction Work, Code Violations, and not building our home per the contract.. We ended up having to hire another construction company to come in and finish the home and clean up Yorways mess.. Yorway never had anyone at the job site and the results really do show.. The worst building experience ever I would think long and hard before hiring these guys.. I can only wish someone else left a reveiw about this company before we hired them...
