THE WATER HEATER GUY

Well…my experience with this contractor started with Rheem dispatching this rep to evaluate a suspected warranty claim. After about a 30 mins evaluation, Dennis accurately determined the problem was not a water heater issue thus not on warranty. I now expected to be charged a service call .. at a reasonable fee. To my shock, he handled me a bill for $280.00. …$190 for the “ privilege “of him to come over and another $90 for some off the wall, “truck” charge. I left the experience with a gut feeling I’ve been ripped off.

I am completely happy with work done by "The Water Heater Guy". Dennis came to my house to repair my water heater. He came prepared, on time, was neat and orderly, and repaired only what was needed. In the short time it took to do the repairs he received two other emergency calls which he acknowledged briefly while completing my repairs. Dennis is a complete professional confident in what he does, and had many helpful tips to prolong the life of my water heater. I will highly recommend him to friends and family. This guy is a big fraud. He will try to check a lot of unnecessary things to prolong the time so that he can get paid by the hour. Also, he will subject to bogus charges such as courier service charge for the part that he replaces. Matter of fact is that he may have gotten all the parts from distributors with free delivery.

This guy is an absolute idiot. I wouldn't recommend him to do anything, including getting you a warranty replacement for a water heater. All he was supposed to do was look at my water heater to determine where it was leaking, and get me a new water heater or the parts needed to fix this one. He came to my house, found the water heater was leaking, disconnected the water heater, turned off all the water to my house and then left without leaving me a new water heater. He was supposed to bring my new water heater by 2:30 PM that day. He didn't show up until 7:00 PM that night. Granted, I didn't really want to have a leaking water heater in my house, but a leaking water heater was far preferrable to no water heater and certainly better than no water for 5 hours! I believe he did this because I told him I didn't want him to connect the new water heater, as I had someone else lined up to do it. Don't use him for anything!
