Overall I'd give this place a C. Overpriced as far as when we received. Paid for a family membership plus $8.00 + tax extra for 'junior duesand quot; My daughter who is 10 couldn't do much there except swim at certain times. She couldn't use the hot tub and the exercise equiptment until she was 12. Everything else cost extra. We contacted the guy that sold us the membership by e-mail about removing the Jr. dues, he told my husband that he would take care of it and never did so we cancelled our membership. I was called to meet with a personal trainer thinking that I was going to go over the equipment instead it was a sales tactic to get me to join a class. This was a waste of time. When you cancel you need to make sure that you send a certified letter stating that you want to cancel, they will not respond to e-mails. At least they didn't for me.

New Year's came and went and of course had to follow along with everyone else to make a New Year's resolution. I have struggled with my weight since I was a child and thought joining a gym would be a good idea. I went to several gyms in my area but when i got to LifeTime Fitness I knew it was the right gym for me. The receptionist was very courteous and helpful and promptly found someone to assist me with explaing what they fitness center had to offer. One of the sales representatives showed me to his office and happily listened to my reasons for wanting to join and gym and what I was looking for in a gym. Since my main concern was weight loss he advised me that they have Personal Trainers available for both individual or group training. He was very precise in offering me what the sign up fees would cost me and what my monthly dues would be as well as cost for additional activities they offer. He was very detailed in the different activities they offer and was very detailed in explaining each area of the gym when he gave me a tour. I feel he also went above and beyond by showing me what equipment they had as well as how to use it. I hadn't even signed up for the membership yet but he was still efficient in providing me excellent service and treated me with care as if I were a good friend. I did end up signing up for a membership due to the thoroughness and care they provided me. Good salesman or not the gym included everything I was looking for and I also learned that I could also visit other LifeTime Fitness gyms throughout the country. They made my my decision very easy. Other gyms were a little cheaper however in this case I learned that you really get what you pay for. Everyone was very thorough and respectful and I have since worked with a few different Personal Trainers in both individual and group settings. One of the best choices I have made.

A GOOD CLUB WHERE YOU CAN MAKE A DAY OF IT IN THE SUMMER WITH THE KIDS. DROP THEM OFF IN THE KID CARE, WORK OUT, AND THEN PLAN ON A FEW HOURS AT THE OUTDOOR WATER PARK. IT'S GOT TWO SLIDES, AND LAZY RIVER AND IS GREAT FOR KIDS UP TO PROBABLY 10. IT GETS CROWDED ON THE WEEKENDS, THOUGH, AND THEY'VE GOT SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE POOLSIDE CAFE. GETTING FOOD CAN TAKE UP TO 30 MINUTES DURING PEAK PERIODS. THEY COULD PROBABLY RE-DESIGN THE WHOLE SYSTEM TO SOLVE THIS, BUT IT'S NOT DONE YET.
Description of Work: ONE OF THE LARGER LIFETIME CLUBS IN THE TWIN CITIES, WITH THE BEST POOLS AVAILABLE FOR THE SOUTH OR EAST SUBURBS.
