- Kyle drilled some holes in the existing concrete and injected a concrete mix to raise the concrete to a level that would facilitate better water drainage. The concrete was in good shape making this a much more cost effective solution. Kyle is a one man crew that explained what he was going to do, gave me an estimate and completed the work very efficiently. The slabs are pitched correctly now and I am very happy with the quality and cost of the job. He is a hard working young man who takes pride in doing a good job. I would recommend him without reservation. Thanks for your great work, Kyle.
They raised the concrete slabs like we asked and the water doesn't pool anymore by our front steps. The only thing that was really disappointing was during this process they cracked one of the slabs of concrete. When we called to let them know, they said it was already cracked. I have pictures and it didn't look cracked before the work was done. Even if the slab was cracked before the work was done and the crack was accentuated by the process, you would think they would have made mention of it on the paperwork they left behind or let us know before the work was completed. They made no mention of the crack that is now across one slab of concrete that wasn't there before. Now we have to spend probably more money to fix this crack than what we paid for the concrete raising. Also, he told us in order for it to be guaranteed for 3 years, we would have to caulk it (we thought this was part of the concrete raising). He left an empty bottle of caulk, so that we can purchase on our own at a hardware store. Never before have we hired a company to do a job and then had the company ask us to do more work on a job that we hired them to do. Next time we will go with a competitor that says 100% satisfaction with the job and states on their website that caulk is part of the job.
I sent a check off to this company, but I hesitated doing it because I don't feel satisfied at all.
I had two other concrete raising companies look at it and they told me that they wouldn't be able to help me, although they didn't offer an explanation as to why not. Kyle was able to accomplish what others had said couldn't be done.
