"Thank you very much for your review, [Member Name Removed]! We really appreciate it. We are grateful that you chose Cement Raising, Inc. for your mudjacking needs. Thank you for your business! Take care!"
"I sent my crew out to raise the steps and walk, and upon drilling the holes needed to raise the area, discovered that the walk closest to the front stoop was 8” to 12” thick with a lip that went under the stoop. The standard thickness of a slab should be 3 ½” to 4” thick, so there was no way of knowing this. The slab was sloping towards the stoop and needed to be sloped away. My crew tried to saw cut between the walk and the stoop to try and get it to slide by. I had to finish a job I was doing and come over to this job site to help. I tried everything I knew to try to get that slab to slide past the stoop, but because it was so thick, the saw would not cut deep enough to get it to slide by and slant away. I then talked to the [Member Name Removed]'[Member Information Removed] wife and told her the only way to get the slab to slide by would be to drill down between the walk and stoop to free it up since the drill goes that deep. I informed her that it would leave wider areas from the drill bit being 1 ¼” wide, but it was the only way to get the slab to slant away. She gave me the go ahead to do that, and upon drilling it out I was able to get the slab to raise properly and slant away. I finished the job and showed her, and she was happy and proceeded to pay me in full. This was on June 8th, 2021. I never heard from the [Member Name Removed]'[Member Information Removed] that there was any problem with the job, or that he was unhappy, until I received a notification from Angi that he left this review on July 6th, almost a month later. Upon seeing his review, I went to his home to go over the job with him. He was not there, so I called him, and I explained everything about the thickness of the slab, and how it was the only choice I had, and that his wife gave us the okay to do what we did. He said he understood, but didn't like the looks of the holes, which he had covered with sand to hide the caulking we put in, even though I had informed him that it would of all weathered in over time. He said he would think about it and probably take the review down."

It was pricey. I think they came out within a few days after we called them. They came out and got it done.
