We had a good experience from beginning to end. Vern at the Snelling office was extremely helpful and answered our questions at every step of the way. We received documents from Wells Fargo well before closing that detailed everything we needed to know, so there were no surprises. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. I know that Wells Fargo wasn't the least expensive option for refinancing, but I'm so glad we went with them. They handled everything with professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail.

We initially met with a different mortgage broker at the Northeast office. We didn't like that guy and decided to check out the office in St Paul. We ended up speaking with Vern. Not only did he give us good advice on why we shouldn't consider a 20 year mortgage, but he matched a competing offer from a mortgage company that our Realtor referred us to. If all mortgage brokers were as honest and forthcoming as Vern, we wouldn't have the financial crisis we have today. We don't plan on buying another house. However, if we did, we would buy our mortgage through Vern.
