We were referred to Jaime (who owns Viva Remodeling) by my parents. He had done two bathroom remodels for them in their current house. When we initially met with Jaime we were excited to work with him. He brought some creative ideas to our project and his quote for the labor on the project was very competitive. We hired Jaime with the hope that he would produce for us a bathroom remodel that was both stylish and high quality. Unfortunately, Jaime did not deliver on his part of the agreement. After being paid over 80% of his labor quote and being reimbursed for all materials he purchased on our behalf, he ultimately abandoned the project after working on it for one month (essentially the month of January) and unilaterally deciding it was “finished.” The work that was done is of questionable quality and we are still cleaning up messes that were left behind from the construction (example: grout was apparently dumped in the snow next to our driveway – the snow is now gone but the grout sludge is not). We are in the process of bringing in other contractors to evaluate the existing state of the bathroom, make repairs, and finish the project. We are very dissatisfied with how Jaime and Viva Remodeling have handled our project and we would not recommend working with him.
