I sent him the drawing and he got back to me right away. He was responsive and his price was actually within my budget and believe me I budget everything myself. He was right there, right on. As far as punctuality and getting back to me I'd have to give him an "A," he got back to me. And in this business a lot of time with some that's the worse problem.

I contacted Varland on Tuesday to get a quote for the work described above. Denny stopped out that day and provided a quote later in the afternoon which I accepted. I stressed that I really wanted to get this finished within one week. Varland came out and started the next morning (Wed) and finished the entire job including a nice clean up job on Monday. The lead-time, price, and quality of work exceeded my expectations in a positive way and I will not hesitate to recommend Varland Drywall to family and friends.

Varland provided the lowest quote of all companies contacted for a skim coat after popcorn ceiling removal. They were able to work around my schedule and come out within 3 days of placing the order. They did a quality job, were very friendly, and I would use them again.

They showed up on time and were nice and did a great job.

I contacted Varland Drywall to re-sheetrock a large stairwell to my basement and to fix a large section of ceiling in the basement from my horrible attempt at mudding and taping the area myself.

I then proceeded to engage in “project creep”…I kept finding things to add. In the end, they ended up completing the stairwell, the ceiling, hanging, mudding and taping our new basement bathroom as well as finishing the rest of the job I had started in the basement. It totaled up to about 10 extra sheets of drywall that they hung, taped, and mudded. In addition to hanging the new sheets of drywall, they were able to patch and fix some really difficult areas around piping and make it look seamless.

The job they did was flawless…it just really looks so nice. They made my amateur work look like it never happened. In the end, the entire job looked like one flawless piece of work done by professionals….which they are.

The icing on the cake was their service and price. They never, ever complained about me adding new items, nor did they make me feel bad about the inferior job I had done. Dennis, the owner, responded to my request for a bid promptly and was able to start work the next week. Wade and Rick completed the work and they were cheerful and polite. They were so quiet that at times I didn’t even know they were here…they even helped me jump my car when the battery was dead!

I have other projects that need to be done in my house and I look forward to working with Varland Drywall again.
