We arrived at the U-Haul at 9 am.  There was a line of 15 people ahead of me and only one person working.  It took well over an hour to get our truck.  When we returned later that day to return the truck there was a still a line and they charged me for a dolly that I didn't request or use (but it was in my truck).  According to workers there, this is the busiest U-Haul site in the state.  They should staff better if that's the case.  When people are moving they usually have a schedule and people waiting to help.  I was very unhappy with the wait.

They were excellent. Their price and service were good. The trucks were in good condition. They are very customer friendly. They at the last minute  were able to accommodate a change in my truck request.  It is worth negoitating with the management on your very first contact with them.

Their mini storage department is run by one woman who was absolutely fantastic. She was helpful and friendly. She answered all my questions. It was a service that worked really well for me because I was able to use the boxes to store my things.

It was close to both my starting point, and my ending point. Their rates were reasonable. It was a good experience overall.  

I reserved a truck online, but was uneasy about their "guarantee" (if they don't have the truck you reserve, they'll give you $50, HOWEVER, they won't confirm your reservation until the day before you need it, and you also don't get to select the location for pick up). A few days later I called the 800-number on the email receipt and was transferred to the St. Paul location closest to my house. I was then immediately put on hold for about 10 minutes. When the guy finally picked up again, I explained that I wanted to confirm my reservation so I wouldn't be stuck without a truck on the day I needed it. He told me that they only had trucks available that day from 7am until 1pm, at the full-day rate. There is no way we can move all of our belongings in a 6-hour window when we were planning to have a full day to do so. And of course I don't qualify for the $50 "guarantee." At this point, it is too late to rent another truck from anywhere else, as it the end of the month is nearing. Thanks to U-Haul we now have to make last-minute alternate arrangements for a very large move. It is ridiculous that U-Haul cannot take and confirm truck reservations at the same time, which would prevent their customers from being left at the last moment with a huge move and no vehicle.

AFTER CONFIRMING A RESERVATION FOR A TRUCK RENTAL, AN AGENT CALLED ME 3 DAYS BEFORE TO TELL BE A STORY ABOUT A TRUCK BEING STOLEN, SO MY TRUCK WAS UNAVAILABLE TO RENT. HOWEVER, INSTEAD OF RENTING THE TRUCK FOR THE DAY, THEY SAID I COULD RENT A TRUCK FROM 4PM OVERNIGHT. I THEN CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MY TREATMENT FROM THE LOCAL AGENT WITH THE THEFT STORY. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL AND MEAN AND COULDN'T DO ANYTHING AT ALL TO GET ME A TRUCK FOR THE TIME I HAD CONFIRMED DAYS PRIOR. THE AGENT WAS SHORT WITH ME AND HUNG UP ON ME WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE ELSE. AWFUL COMPANY THAT I WILL NEVER CALL AGAIN!

THE WOMAN WHO RENTED ME THE TRUCK WAS OBVIOUSLY OVERWORKED, AND I CAN EXCUSE A BIT OF TESTINESS, BUT THE LACK OF CONCERN FOR ME AND MY TIME LEFT ME PAYING OVER SIXTY DOLLARS FOR AN ADVERTISED RENTAL OF $19.95, AND WASTING SEVERAL HOURS OVER
