TIMBERCRAFT RESTORATION

We started with them in 2012 planning (see previous review from 2012) ,designing, and renovating our 1937 International Style house in South Tyrol Hills....
The house was gutted down to the basic framework , the roof was chopped off and another floor was added, all new plumbing, HVAC and Electrical was installed and heated floors were put in throughout...3 custom bathrooms were designed and created...a custom commercial grade kitchen was designed and created...  
As the project progressed, we came up with more ideas, custom features, and high end finishes...challenging designs and materials...Timbercraft was able to accommodate and collaborate very well with us...With Timbercraft, we custom designed our dream home! We do highly recommend them to everyone, and will renovate houses with them in the future. I wake up every day grateful for our glamorous,well built home...Thank You Timbercraft!!!

Working with Timbercraft went well.  We had a few bumps in the road -- what remodeling project doesn't?  First, the initial install of the custom double-sink vanity wasn't successful (either the company that made it cut it incorrectly, or contractors measured incorrectly -- I don't recall).  It was corrected pretty promptly at not cost to me.  The second was the wrong part ordered when we changed out a traditional radiator for baseboard radiator, which caused a delay.  We had one miscommunication where I didn't adequately explain what I wanted, and when I pointed that out, they redid the work without a second thought.  They were very accommodating to me (a first time remodeler).  I changed my mind sometimes, added in new pieces of work at least twice (changing out our glass block windows, and opting to change out the radiator at the last minute). They didn't bat an eye when I requested changes like that alone the way.  When they installed the backsplash/accent trim, they did a few pieces, checked to see if I liked it, and when I didn't love it they were fine about taking it down and replacing it with something different.
Overall, I was very pleased, and will certainly talk with them again for any other remodeling projects.  I was not in a hurry, and had no timeline for when it all needed to be done -- all I cared about was that it was done well and at a reasonable cost. The end product was impeccable.  The gentleman doing our tile work took his time, but the end result was exceptionally well done tiling.  
I probably could have found a cheaper contractor, but there were also several far more expensive contractors out there, and I could tell that Peter knew what he was doing.  I felt very confident that he hired good people and I trusted him.  His staff/contractors were also very friendly and professional, particularly with a very curious 3 year old who wanted to oversee the project and "help."  They cleaned up everything well.  They did this work almost two years ago now and it's still in great shape.  We're still enjoying our "new" bathroom!

Very happy with the initial construction. The reason I chose Timbercraft was the expected quality. I originally has a 3 season porch and it developed a leak. John from Timbercraft advised all the steps that they would do to ensure this problem would not happen again. After 5 years the new room is leaking worse than the original. I called John and discussed what was happening and he advised he would get back to me. That was four months ago and I've left four separate messages with the company and they have not had the courtesy to even return a phone call. Customer service is poor and I would have a difficult time recommending this company to anyone.

We will keep you posted on how the rest of the project goes...so far we could not be happier with Timbercraft.

We were very impressed with the professionalism and cleanliness of this company. The products used to renovate our bathroom are of very good quality. Everyone responded promptly to our requests and complaints. The best part: They installed a temporary shower in our basement, which made a huge difference for us to survive the remodeling. Overall it was an excellent experience.

They were punctual, on budget, on time and someone was there everyday of the 8 week project. Their workers were very professional, provided quality work and cleaned up at the end of every day. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

They did a great job. They did good quality work and I was very pleased with the outcome. The primary person we spoke to was very professional and very responsive to our questions. They probably sub-contracted out the electrical and plumbing work. He was right in the ball park with the other estimates we got, and I think it was well worth the money. We had them come out to bid for our basement work, but they were a little bit more expensive. We are going with another contractor for the basement project but I am sure they would have done the same great quality work.

They came out quickly and gave us a fair bid.

The job has been great. I would definitely hire them again, and recommend them. They do a good job of cleaning up at the end of the day. They were on schedule very well. The contractors were very conscious of our family space during construction. They are really up front, and honest.

I liked that they came in on time and on budget. They had excellent craftsman and had great craftsmanship, and that they were completely honest and trustworthy, and I got excellent value for the money. They did come in as the lowest bid, but I picked them for their reputation. I would nominate them for the Page of Happiness and recommend them to anyone.
