"Thank you for your kind words of support. I remember your project well, It was an "adventure" for two people. Your always invited to come by. I'm working different hours these days. 10:00am to 2:45pm - get kids fromm school - come back 4:00pm - 5:30pm Monday through Friday as well as 10:00 - 2:00 on Saturdays other times by appt. Great job taking a dirty, damaged tape and getting the precious contents onto DVDs for me. Also, Mickey has a nice, easy-going demeanor which disguises his in-depth knowledge of his business. It was a pleasure to work with him and the product was outstanding.

It turned out to be a much more complicated job than I had realized. Mickey was pleasant to work with and the final product was good. However, I was surprised at the amount of time I had to put in to sort out the various pieces of what he had put on the computer. I thought it would be more straightforward than it was. And I was totally shocked when I got the invoice, as it was about twice what I had expected. I wish I had gotten clearer information at the beginning about the cost. Also, when he offered to put in extra time on the project (which was appreciated) it would have been helpful if he had told me how much I would be charged. I guess I thought it was a "per project" charge, and it turned out to be a "per hour" charge.

"I am going to be a little emotional here and say out loud I had my feelings hurt by this report. This was a project with two goals. Restoring below average quality, decades old audio tapes, as well as a complicated chronological reorganizing of the audio material. I was so vested in doing a good job that I donated a lot of time in trying to finesse the audio and get it as good as was possible, not to mention working through the night and delivering a proof set of CD's to the clients porch at 5:30am on one occasion. I ended up charging this member for less than 1/2 the actual time spent on this project. The hourly cost for this service ($60.00 per hour) was discussed at the start of this project, but true enough we never discussed money again. In my defense I would have given an accounting of costs any time asked. It took 3 sessions of side by side working together to get the material in the right order, so the opportunity was there. I can also say in my clients defense they shouldn't have to ask. I care about my clients and listen to what they tell me, In the future I will try harder to make sure people are getting as much information as they want and as always will continue to do the best I can. The staff was friendly and they did a good. They were not speedy, but I did not need the discs immediately. Even though the discs were not ready when promised, I really liked them.

Michael was great, told me to get the film in ASAP because there is a big Christmas rush, took a little over a week to get them back. Really great people at the shop, trustworthy you feel as if you are treated like family

Mickey at Media Workshop was told this was an emergency and he said to bring in the disks. He checked them out and found one that worked on his computer. He did a rush job and had a working DVD ready that same afternoon. He was extremely courteous and gave me an extra free copy of the DVD.

Excellent. I stopped by the Media Workshop, completed a short form and the gentleman told me they would call when the transfer was complete. He added it would take a couple of days. Three days later I received a phone call to pick up the DVD. I watched it when I returned home. They did excellent work.

I BROUGHT THE PROJECT IN ON A SATURDAY MORNING. I EXPECTED THEM TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN A WEEK. THEY SAID "LATER TODAY" AND HAD THEM DONE BY 4:00 P.M. THE PRICE WAS HALF WHAT I EXPECTED.

THE WORK DONE WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. I DIDN'T ASK FOR MUCH. I JUST WANTED A STRAIGHT CONVERSION OF THE TAPES TO DVD FORMAT AND THAT DID THAT. THEY WOULD HAVE ADDED CHAPTER HEADINGS, (LIKE YOU SEE IF BUY A DVD MOVIE AND YOU WANT TO SKIP INTO THE MIDDLE OF A RECORDING INSTEAD OF STARTING YOUR VIEWING AT THE BEGINNING), BUT I DID NOT ASK FOR THAT. THE PEOPLE THERE WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS VERY MINOR. THEY DID NOT CALL TO SAY WHEN THE WORK WAS DONE. HOWEVER, WHEN I DROPPED THE TAPES OFF THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE READY IN 3 OR 4 WORK DAYS. I CALLED BACK MYSELF AT THAT TIME AND THE DVD'S WERE READY. I'VE VIEWED THEM SINCE THEN AND EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. I HAD COMPARED THE PRICES OF THE MEDIA WORKSHOP TO ANOTHER DUPLICATION SERVICE AND THEY WERE ABOUT THE SAME.

"IN THE MEMBER'S CASE THE MORE TIME CONSUMING PROCESS OF BURNING THE DVDS WAS DONE BUT NOT THE LABELING. WHEN THE MEMBER CALLED WE MOVED HER PROJECT TO THE TOP OF THE CUE SO THEY COULD BE PRINTED AND READY BY THE TIME SHE CAME TO PICK THEM UP. WE TRY HARD TO MEET OUR CLIENTS TIME CONSTRAINTS AND HAVE NEVER MISSED A DEADLINE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIQUE."

IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THEM. THEY TOOK AN INTEREST IN MY PROJECT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SMALL AND NON-PROFESSIONAL, REMEMBERED ME FROM ONE OCCASION TO THE NEXT, AND DID THE WORK FASTER THAN PROMISED. THE FINAL PRODUCT IS OF VERY GOOD QUALITY (ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE SOURCE) AND IT WILL BE A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR MY SISTERS AND PARENTS. ONE MINOR NOTE IS THAT THEY APPARENTLY HAVE SOME FLEXIBILITY ON THE PRICING FOR DUPLICATE COPIES OF CDS ONCE THE TRANSFER WORK HAS BEEN DONE, AND THEY QUOTED ME A HIGHER PRICE PER COPY AT THE END OF THE JOB THAN WE HAD DISCUSSED AT THE BEGINNING. BUT THEY IMMEDIATELY ADJUSTED THE PRICE ACCORDING TO MY MEMORY OF WHAT WE HAD ORIGINALLY DISCUSSED, WITH NO HASSLES.
